Hi there,

I was just watching Napoleon Hill on youtube, and he gave a prayer that I did not understand.

“O Divine Providence, I ask not for more riches but more wisdom with which to make wiser use of the riches you gave me at birth, consisting in the power to control and direct my own mind to whatever ends I might desire.”

I don’t get this.  Why not ask for more riches as well as wisdom?  Maybe his ideal is to be a religious hermit.

Hill knew the power of our mind. Whether we are rich or poor, healthy or sick, happy or sad all creations of power of our mind. Our whole life is just reflection and manifestation of power of our mind that is why he was asking for power to direct & control the mind.

The quote you posted reminds me of the one that always seems to make it’s way around. I really don’t know who came up with it:

” You can give a man a fish, and feed him for one day, or, you can teach a man to fish, and feed him for a lifetime”.

I think what he was saying, if you have wisdom, you can have anything you desire, which is “riches” and more.
