Vision Board Mini Series – How To Visualize

Andrew here again.

So you have done step 1 and step 2. Now what? Now would be a good time to think about how to visualise.

Learning how to visualise is an important step in getting what you want out of life and the vision board process. This is a remarkably effective thing to do. It is nothing new. You do it all the time. You just might not be aware of it. You might call it day dreaming.

Any ‘successful’ person does it. I guarantee you. Everything in life starts as a thought form, an idea that is  imagined.

Whenever you are reading a novel or engrossed in a breath taking film you are naturally visualising.  All you need to do now is harness your natural ability and create something that you actually want in your life. It’s time to get ‘serious’.

The most common way to visualise is as follows :

Start out by creating a vivid picture in your mind of you already having achieved your goals. It is the END RESULT, not a condition or a way that you can achieve your goal but the end result.

You have to really feel the emotions as if they were happening right NOW. Your unconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between real and unreal. By visualising consistently it begins to bring what you are seeing in your mind into your physical reality.

The BIG key is being specific.. You really have to get very detailed with what you visualise. If you want a new car. See every single nook and cranny of that car in your mind. Feel the fabric, smell the fresh interior, feel the rubber of the tires. Hear the sound of the engine as you turn the key. Sit in the car. What music do you have playing on your awesome sound system.

You have to focus on visualisation and repeat the process at least twice a day for a full ten minutes. It is recommended that you do it more often! The more frequently you use the power of visualisation the more the ideas will sink into your mind and manifest.  Keep visualising until you have what you want.

Learning how to visualise is not hard, but it does take discipline. If you can’t be bothered to visualise, you don’t want your goal. Simple!  If you believe you cannot have it, that is another thing. You are worrying about “How am I going to get it”, which as already discussed is not for you to know.

You just have to keep focusing on the end result.

If you can’t visualise, that’s OK. You could just pretend or write out what you want instead and then read it when you wake up and before you go to bed. It you can’t do that either. Record yourself experiencing what it is you want.

How much detail, you can never have too much. If you think you have it down perfect. If describe what you want to somebody else and get them to draw out what it is that you want. Do they draw the same item as you think you have described? Doubt it.

Vision Board Mini Series – Step 2 – Getting Your Images

Andrew here again.

Now you know what a vision board is and how many types you can have. Lets get into the meat of your vision board.

Action 1 – If you have not already done so, write down right down everything that you want in your life and everything that you don’t want in your life.  This is a must step.

Vision Board Secret – If you just read about it and don’t do anything i.e. take action. How do you think you’ll get what you want in your life? The more things you do to get what you want, the more opportunities you and the universe have of getting what you want.  Getting what you want, really is a numbers game.

Now, from the list that you created above, find an END RESULT image, picture, the final outcome of what it is that you want and how it will look to you. Don’t look for images of what you don’t want. What would be its total opposite? That is what you want.

i.e. I don’t want any more arguments over money becomes I want to have more than enough money to be financially independent. – Give it a figure amount too in $£Y or your local currency.

The image only has to mean something to YOU and YOU alone. If you can’t find the exact image of what you want, create it yourself. Use Gimp or Photoshop. Draw it. No you doesn’t need to be a Picasso.

I’d also include at least one picture of yourself. Why? These are your goals. If you can use Gimp or Photoshop, change any heads to your head.

Also include inspirational words and quotes that you want to live by. Include pictures of your mentors or people you want to become like.

Your Images and Goals

There really are No limits. Now you might be thinking, but I have to be realistic. Rubbish. Your goals should be outrageous, they should excite you. We’re talking about your life here. Not queueing for milk at the supermarket. Do you want to be ordinary or EXTRAORDINARY?

Conflict, you may not see it at first, but if you want A and you believe the only way you can get it is by B. Get rid of B. Why, you’re serious cutting down your options. Remember it is about the final result, not how you get there. i.e. You want $1.000,000 (A) – Lottery Image (B). Get rid of B. There are infinite ways to make, get, manifest, attract $1,000,000 into your life.

Even if you don’t believe you can get what it is that you want. That’s OK. In another post, I let you know how you can easily overcome these emotional and mentally blocks, quicker than you ever thought possible.

How Am I Going To Get Everything That I Want?

But, the hows. That is not for you to decide. That is for the universe to decide. It will give you many, many opportunities to get what you want, if you let it. Don’t limit it and yourself. If you worry about the how am I going to get this? What your basically saying is I don’t believe this is possible for me. That’s OK, one of the primary goals with your board, is to gently start allowing yourself to believe that it is possible for you to have everything and more that you want in your life.

Where To Find Your Images

There are some excellent magazines for the affluent lifestyle. Some of my favourites are:

Robb ReportYes, we even get this in the UK.

Architectural DigestYou’ll find a dream home in here, I’m sure.

Dupont RegistryThey have magazines for many hi-end things.

Condé Nesté TravellerRemember to enjoy your wealth!

If you don’t have these magazines where you live. That’s OK. There are magazines available on every conceivable topic on and off line. What do you see the people you want to become like where you live reading or carrying?

WWW. The web is full of images for your vision board. Make use of it.

Google Images

Free Stock PhotosHere you’ll find lots of images you can use for free or a small fee.

Dealerships, Estate Agents. In the magazines you’ll see many adverts. If you like what you see. Send off for a brochure. You are serious bout what you want right? By doing this you’ll often end up on a mailing list and get constant offers and new product info. Even if you think you can’t afford something right now, that is OK. Your constantly programming yourself, this what I want. You’re feeding your mind constant prosperity images. I’m still loving my Bosé mailings and images.

There are just so many places for you to find your images. If you can’t find it exactly as you want it. Get somebody to create it for you.

  • As you go over your images make sure it is your goal and dream and not for somebody else.
  • If the images doesn’t get you excited, CHANGE IT!
  • As you accomplish a goal or realise one is not for you – bin it and get a new goal.
  • Re-read about conflicting images, above.

Until next time, start collecting and putting them together on your board, wall, journal. Anywhere you’ll see it often.

Vision Board Mini Series – What is a Vision Board

Andrew Here,

So you have heard about a vision board, but don’t know what it is or how to use it. Well over the next coming days you’re going to know all it and more. By the end of this Vision Board Series, you’ll have created your first of many vision boards that will have a direct impact in you leading the life of your dreams.

What is a Vision Board?

We might as well be on the same page right.

A vision board is a basically a collection of images, words, anything that inspires you. All of these things you want to attract and have in your own life.  The images are the end result or outcome of what it is that you want. All of these words and images are grouped together and normally placed on a large sheet of paper.

Each day at least twice i.e when you wake up and before you go to bed, you look at all of your images. You want to see this board as often as possible.

A vision board is not a one time event. You don’t just create it and then leave it hanging ad infinitum. As you constantly look at your images, some will not ring true to you. Change them for ones that do get you excited. As your dreams start appearing, take them off your board and replace them. Some of the goals you’ll realise aren’t yours. Bin them and find your own goals!

What Can You Put On Your Vision Board?

There is no limit to what you can have in your life or put on a vision board. There is no time limit, financial limited, thing limit, location limit, colour, race or creed limit. If you desire to have it, it means on some level you can achieve it. That doesn’t mean you will.

You can have everything you put on your board. There are some caveats and often over looked steps that will be discussed in this series.

What Do I Put On My Vision Board?

Anything from any area of your life. All it as to be is the end result. What will the outcome look like to you? The images have to all mean something to you and you alone.

Think about what you would like to have in your relationships, career, personal growth, spirituality, stuff goals i.e travel and money. If it comes to your mind, put it on your board.

How Many Boards?

You can have as many boards as you want. They can be as big or as small as you want. If you don’t want others to see your board (which is often a very good thing). Do all the steps in a vision journal instead or why not create both. That way when you have 5 minutes you can always look at something inspiring.

I know of some ‘boards’, that are actually walls. Yes, that’s right, they have a vision wall. You can have vision films, vision PC wallpaper, there really is not limit except in your own imagination.

Action – Write down all your goals in all areas of your life as mentioned about and any others that come to mind. If you don’t want something. Great, that’s an excellent start. What do you want instead?

This should take you a day or so. Remember, you can always revisit it and change it. Nothing is set in stone.
