Hi,

As you all know I have been needing a job and everyone helped me with this by putting their energy toward my intention and I was told last month that I was hired and the start date will be the 30th of January.  It was actually suppose to be earlier but it was pushed back.  I was also told that I would be contacted closer to the start date with further instructions and a date to show up for a back ground check and drug test.  I haven't received any calls and I have left 3 messages and 2 emails with the recruiter in the last week and a half and she is not responding back to me.  The latest email I sent was on Monday and I asked that she please respond even if she didn't have concrete details, still no response.

I don't want to be concerned but when the recruiter spoke with me previously she was always very attentive to calling and emailing back and since this position has a start date of the 30th this is cutting it quite close to the wire.

I addition, the man who hired me explained that I would be contacted closer to the start date about the drug test and background check since they were delaying the start date they didn't want to pay for tests if candidates had found other positions while waiting.

I committed myself to this position and turned down another (less lucrative) position because I made this commitment. 

So the help I would like to ask for is your help in sending out to the Universe some positive vibes and well wishes, that this is just a small hiccup in the process and the job is still mine and someone will be contacting me soon to iron out all the particulars.

Just chill out and be ready to start your job! That's how it is sometimes for whatever reason. I know that's how it was with my job, I got a few unexpected delays because someone from hr got really sick but I still got to start! Sending you good vibes!

one thing I can tell you being into corporate hr...sometimes we have processes to follow and step by step..it takes long...it can be a reason that the requisition is yet to come/open or anything in their process..so it takes time...just relax..you have followed up from them and they will revert ASAP

I phoned the supervisor this morning and my recruiter called me back, there is another short delay and the start date has been pushed back 2 weeks.  She apologized for not getting back to me sooner and explained that she was trying to get concrete answers before phoning me back.  She assured me everything is still on and the job will just start a little later then expected.

Just a few things I've observed in here. This by no means I am trying yo pick on your post. Just give it a thought.

There are still 4 days left. After reading this I think your recruiter is not a giant in the relevant area. If they were they'd have clearly conveyed you the plan of action... When I recruited people when I was a start up, I faced a lot of problems of arranging all the resources.. So let them take their time. As you have positive vibes from all of us, they are gonna contact you for sure.

What universe listens - "I want to be concerned and I want more of it"
Universe doesn't respond to "how you say you feel". In fact its not even listening to your words. Its listening to your feelings. And this statement is a clear indication that your current feeling is "worry" which is negative.

Thats not something you can do anything about. So stop thinking about that.

PS......although it would be great to stay positive 100% of the time, in my opinion that just isn't always possible, it is what it is.  But hey, if you meet someone who is positive 100% of the time be sure to introduce them to me, I would LOVE to meet them.

I am too, although the good news is that as long as my Financial aid is approved I should receive the funds next week so that will help.  The biggest concern right now is that I need a pay stub to prove I have a job to show the mortgage company so I can try to save my house.  Hopefully it will all work out.
