Better relationships with my parents

My whole life I have a bad relationship with my parents. Very much love and care about each other, but we have a bad conversation and totally opposing views. While I was teenegers, I felt in my family like I was from another planet, or I'm the "white crow". When I grew up, nothing has changed. My parents are very concerned about me and I felt that they did not give me a chance to grow up. The whole situation I was in constant conflict with them. Over the past few days, I feel that I am changing and our relations are better. I began to look differently at the whole situation and change my reaction, it also seems to me that they view easily accept some of my ideas. I am married and have a wonderful husband. According to him, they behave as he is a child too. Perhaps they themselves have never grown up.
 I love them very much, and I know they love me too, but as we have now started to really accept each other just the way we are. LOA works for me:)

Oops, now I see that I started on the wrong topic section. Maybe it should go under the success stories? But this situation is in the process for now, so I'm not sure

Tereza, why not? You and your sister will be better, I'm sure. I change my attitude towards them, and I see they are changing too!

Thank you for the lovely story Bepina. Its very true that how the world looks depends totally on our perspective. I have been trying to shift the focus, like you did, about many people in my life and I have been pretty successful so far. Your post served as a reminder for me. Thanks again
