Looking for some words of advice

Hey there,

So I made a vision board in photoshop on my laptop, as I wanted it to be somewhere only I could see it, but that I would be able to look at everyday, and since I'm the only person who uses my laptop, it is obviously the perfect place for it.

Today however, my sister needed to borrow my laptop just to do something with a couple of photos, and straight away I thought of my vision board. Now, thinking back on it, I think I may have accidentally attracted this, I was so worried that she would accidentally open my vision board, that I gave it my full attention "What if she sees it" "I hope she doesn't open that window" "how am I going to hide it" and so, of course, she accidentally opened it, seeing everything. Now some of you may think that is no big deal at all, but my vision board is extremely personal, and shows things to do with very specific people, which I would never show to anyone. And when she saw it, I could just see the look she gave me like I'm some sort of freak, and she just stayed completely silent, staring at my face as it went blood red and I quickly tried to get rid of it.
I can't explain it to her, because I know she is not someone who would ever understand the concept of a vision board, not to mention why some of those things were on it. I just have no idea what to do, it feels like someone has just gone right inside my head, and had a good look at some of my most personal thoughts.

So basically I'm wondering if anyone has some advice, has this happened to anyone else? How did you deal with it?

i havent had that experience, but i will say when i made my first vision board, i was very hesitant to put it up.  i was worried what everyone would say that came over.  however it has been a topic of discussion a few times.  its actually started some good convos about loa with people i didnt expect to be open to it.  if she saw it, maybe just maybe, it was the universe trying to get you to open up about it.  everyone can understand these topics.  even if she is hesitant about showing belief in it, her subconscious will know its right, it will nudge her slowly to think about starting her own.  she will see where she wants more success and growth and start to think about doing one herself.
im sure being yours is personal you were embarrassed.  but hey shes your sister, the wonderful thing about family is we do embarassing things aroudn them that later lead to a laugh.  dont worry so much.  also, just a thought, you attracted that situation by worrying it would happen.  dont worry about that stuff happening.  if it does, like it did, brush it off, find the positive of it, and move on.

Holy guacamole!
I used to have a photo of me and my guy in a teeny tiny little frame by my bedside and like you...was terrified that my sister would see it. Well she saw it and like I had feared, was less than understanding about it. Ugh. She's still all weird about it even though I've taken it down.

I suppose there's a way to get around all that and focus on her being a more understanding and accepting person, but I find that interacting with her leaves me a little shaken. I find myself having to talk myself into calmness and remind myself why it doesn't matter what she thinks.
