What Makes a LOA Success Story?
« on: March 30, 2010, 12:14:42 PM »
All,

I don't know what makes a success story. Or how big it has to be. Yet, I'm going to put this here as something happened today. It was small, but none the less I've gone aha.

Some days I create a to-do list. Some days I don't. Some days I write out my goals, some days I don't. I guess it depends: do I think this is a goal or not? Yet every task is a goal!

To cut a long story short I've been having to get some videoing done. I've been avoiding it, putting it off etc. I could never find the "right" location. Yesterday I did. It totally surprised me. It was my kitchen. Yes, not the most glamorous place I grant you, but the content is far more important that the look, feel and background.

I was pretty happy yesterday at finding the right location and doing some videoing. Yet, it did seem a drag. Today I needed to do more. I couldn't do the videoing I wanted to as no surprise, others wanted to use the kitchen. Yet, I was desperate to finish the filming as it really is daylight hours dependant and I've other things going on this week.

I just ended up web surfing and creating another document. For whatever reason I just picked up my journal and I wrote down I will have finished my recording my videos by 31st March 2010. .I've never done this before to get a 'to-do' item done.

Low and behold, if I remember correctly people said within minutes of me writing it down, just let use know what time you want the kitchen and we'll move. I thought about and gave them 30 minutes of kitchen time. Before the 30mins were up, they had left the kitchen and I was recording again.

The real kicker for me is I think the videos were some of the best content I've done so far. I was even saying to myself this is really good, I'm getting really good at what I'm doing. I did get all my filming done, before the deadline and I really enjoyed it too.!  Still the editing to do, but that can be done in the dark.

So write it down, make it happen.

I wrote down my goal. I was given the opportunity to achieve my goal. I took it. Then I did the work to achieve the goal. The universe via me, gave me the best video content, I think I've done so far to date.

Maybe I'll start writing all my tasks in this format and see what happens.
Happy Travels

It's definitely sounds familiar to me, I was writing daily task lists, and was getting 90% of them done (not all of them), but it does help, always nice to throw a few quickies in there, and get them out the way, ticking them off is nice! Set yourself goals, but if you don't hit all of them, don't worry, persevere, and it always helps!

It's nice to hear that you have found a solution to your problem. Yes, making a to-do list does certainly help you get your mindset ready for the day's tasking.

Good luck to you! :)

  • xcfastdude14: Wow LOA really does work. Just have to keep faith in it. Its so funny when I'll be thinking of something, and then someone else will bring it up to me. Like today I had a craving for pineapple, and someone went up to me and told me that they wanted some pineapple, almost like they read my mind haha.
