This truly is one of the best stories on the site and I absolutely love reading it over and over again. I know there is so much for me to learn (about LOA and about letting go) and it's amazing to know that perseverance and patience definitely pays off.

When I read your story I felt quite inspired. However I am having hard time facing my fear or letting go. I have my gratitude list, and I am doing my best at keeping my mind busy through the day. Just for info, she is not my ex, she is my best friend and we have known each other for 9 years now.

Recently she admit that 2 years ago, she had feelings for me, but I wasn't at that place at that time, and now when I am, she is in a relationship, feels that we belong together, but has sworn to be loyal.

She believes we are soulmates, believes I am the one that understands her at 100%, and believes her current man will either leave one day or wont work out. (makes u wonder eh..).

Anyways that's her problem not mine, but as I didn't feel happy about the whole situation I proposed a solution which was, to stop speaking and hearing from each other until one day she is available, if that day ever comes.

I decided to let go and leave, but she keeps contacting me after at most 7 days, which makes the whole letting go even harder.

I am really confused at what to do. I really want to forget about it and get back to my normal happy life! How did you do your gratitudes at night and in the morning and managed to keep her out of your mind for the rest of the day? What to do when she sends me an sms or calls? Respond, ignore...? I have known about LOA since 2007 and I really transformed my financial and health life, but I seem to have trouble when it comes to relationships.

I dont doubt my strength to let go or make changes, but I am desperate for help, for someone to point me in the right direction sort of speak.

Letting do doesn’t mean literally, in you just cut her off and go on with your life. Letting go means that her actions or what happens doesn’t have a negative effect on you. You let go of the longing, worry, doubt.. you wake up in the morning and just feel happy for the day no matter what happens. Live in the now, not in the past or future, just be happy for things that are right in front of you.

Hi. I wanna say that I don't feel unhappy or worried, but from time to time sad that we are not together and yes sometimes I have my doubts if we ever gonna be together, but I discard those rather quickly. The thing is I am able to eliminate the sad moments mostly when the communication is off, and I am back where I started as soon as we resume.

I see that the author of the thread took his time months and months of silence and I was wondering if that would be the right path for me as well. I am not sure if I am making sense, because I am pretty confused at this point. Would have been easier if we actually stopped talking as we said in December, but it's been 4 months and we couldn't. But the situation doesn't appear to evolve at all but rather stays the same. So I feel stuck and don't know what to do anymore.

Do nothing. Go out with your friends and have fun, start dating if you find someone you like. You are free to do whatevery, dont hold back or worry. Just think of it this way, shes coming back, so you can either be happy or sad the choice is yours.

Thanks I might as well do that. And what do you suggest when a contact is initiated. Should I ignore it or respond? I always get the butterflies and my heart starts pounding when she calls or drops a message.

I will put an effort to do so. Perhaps wont work in a day or two and will take some time.

Hey Balasus, i m gng thru same break up situation, but with a difference...........she is about to get married by Feb 2013 and she wants to go this marriage for her parents sake, i do want her back.............i request you to please guide me and help me understand Law of attraction.
