I have a little success story of my own: 

A couple of months ago, I was told about a job post at a major financial institution. I knew I wanted the job even before I informed anyone.

So, I pretended like I already had the job.
I built a vision board where I saw myself in the job, read books relevant to the job and thought of the company as "my company" everytime I passed it. I had 7 interviews. I was so confident that the job was already mine that the interviewers believed me, I think.

In short, today I signed the acceptance letter with a very high salary. The job requires research and
travel, which I like very much.

My mom told me a story from my childhood which proves that I was smarter when I was four. My parents were trying to get me into a prestigious school that subjects four year olds to interviews. We had not received any news from the school after my interview.

While playing, one of my four year old playmates bragged that he had gotten addmission into the school.
Very proudly I told him that they had accepted me as well.
Sure enough, a few days later we received the acceptance letter.

I have been posting mostly about the turmoil in my private life. I know, though, I will soon turn the corner on that as well.
