hey there, from what I gather from studying the law of attraction. Which if you want to learn more I would recommend the Book  called The Secret by Rhonda Byrnes. Is that you are the creator of your own life by the thoughts of your own mind. That those thoughts are carry out to the Universe and in turn return to you in like matter. That your life is a result of your thinking.

Now I can say that are some things that I can object with the Law of Attraction cause it doesn't explain it too well. That children who die in a land where they are starving somehow was cause by their own thoughts. Or people think that they want cancer and other various diseases which they had no control of it.

My father died of acute leukemia and undergone all the radiation treatments cause he wanted to live. So by definition of the Law of Attraction my father should have lived cause he did not want to die. Now by the law of attraction if one focuses on what you don't want in your life you end up getting??

Yet I do see that using positive reenforcement.
So in my father case his thoughts should have been
I want to live (positive reenforcement) instead of
I don't want to die( see the negative in that statement?)

Now as example when it comes to relationships. I don't want a girl who does drugs or is a drunk yet I attract women that smoke pot or drinks like a whale.

So I have to rethink this out. I want a woman who is physically healthy and a pleasure to be around.

See the modification there in my wanting?

I think most people grow to be very analytical and skeptical so if the Law of attraction doesn't start working as soon as you apply many scoff it as a quick rich scheme .

Hope that helps,  actually the concept has been with Humans for longer than you just heard about it. Yet with science we just give the name as a law!

Excellent explanation of LOA SeeksTruth77.  As a human, it is difficult to take responsibility for our emotions and thoughts.  Once we do so, we can make the necessary modifications.  Unfortunately many folks are learning this as adults.  I have been making the effort to share this with my teen sisters so give them a positive boost in life.

I agree with seekstruth77, The Secret is a great starting point if you are just getting into the law of attraction.  Plus just spend some time on the forum and read as much as you can.  You will have a solid understanding in no time.

LA.Wing, since I knew LOA from May 2010 when I watched the movie The Secret, and then I joined here in August, there are really lots of twists in my life, that it just amazes me - I become a better and happier me, in the same way it works for everyone with whom I shared with and consistently doing affirmations and meditations. Try and you will surely get results, so excited for you

I sincerely hope that all your dreams manifest in the physical world. I won't say (come true) because if they are in your thoughts everyday, your dreams ALREADY are true.. that's what i believe!

I'd like to share a little success story, it happened a couple of months ago.

After arguing alot with my (then ex, now boyfriend-to-be), he decided to cut contact completely.. And that was the longest perid we stayed without contact (3 months) ..

What happened is that in the middle of those 3 months, I missed him alot and thought about him.. One time, before i went to bed, i wrote a note on my cell phone, saying this "I'm sure he'll contact me again. I'll come back to this note and smile about it."

And days go on and I get busy living my life, then one day out of the blue, exactly 7 weeks later, i get a loong message from him, saying that he was reading the sms's that we used to send eachother when we were together, and that he remembers everything that happened then, and how remembering made him smile, and that he can't remember why we stopped talkin, and how he thought i was a great person, and that he didn't want to lose me from his life!!

So i wait all day and call him at night, and we talk for a full hour!

After this message, i got too excited and started to expect things from him, and he started to pull away again..

But, since this happened, we never stayed more than a week or two without some kind of contact!

Today i came across the note on my phone, and I remembered what happened, and it inspired me and gave me strength, and i had to share it with all of you.

I know he still loves me, and I'm sure he'll admit it and we'll get back together.
I'll come back to this post, and smile about it!

So, I've had an amazing revelation today that sort of changes everything for me. I'm not sure I can effectively put it into words, nor that you'll be able to see it the way I do, but I figured I'd share anyway.

This was actually spawned by a post or an email from Edge. I forget which, but there was a line in there about demanding what's rightfully ours from the Universe. Now, if you're anything like me, you try NOT to be too demanding with friends, significant others, cashiers, etc. As such, I was not being demanding with the Universe either. I was asking, waiting around, wondering if the Universe was going to give me what I've been asking for.

Today I changed all that. I decided that, like for all of us, this money is rightfully mine. It's not coming from anyone or anywhere else. It's mine, it belongs to me. The universe is me and I am the universe. I'm not asking someone or something else to give me something. It's already mine.

This perspective restores complete confidence for me, and removes all fear, wonder, desire and hope. It changes it to something that already just is. I suppose this is what all the books and YouTube videos and movies about the Law of Attraction are getting at, but it didn't occur to me in this fashion until today.

So again, for clarity, let me repeat that this money is mine, it's yours, it's ours. Whatever you're asking for, stop asking, stand up straight and demand it once and for all. But don't demand it from the Universe, because YOU ARE the universe. Perhaps refrain from thinking it's out of your hands and up to some divine fate. Release the feelings of wonder and become one with what already is.

As a side note, I had my biggest money day on one of my projects yesterday. Though only just over 11 bucks, it was record breaking by almost double. The most I had ever made prior was $7.50 in one day. Not so good today, but that helped me to see that over 10 bucks with this project is possible and if I can multiply that by 10, I'll have $3k a month, which will make my life extremely comfortable. Then we'll go from there... As for the February 12th deadline, I'm just getting warmed up... What about you all?
