So I'm new to this forum, and its status quo of acceptablity, each community has one and I'm still learning this one.
I can't believe I wrote all of this after watching the secret only 4 days ago.
For some reason I had an incling to watch the secret for the first time. I've heard of it in the past, and for some reason something kicked in and I just had to watch it. After watching it I felt extremly inspired. Inspired about life, inspired to look into my self, and inspired to learn more.
I have been using LOA since I was 21, now 32, and did not even know it. I'm orignally from outside of Detroit,MI. Growing up in Detroit, being a male, most guys love cars. When I say that, I mean it emcompassess a large part of our lives. It is a passion instilled in you the second your born. I take passion in reading about cars, working on cars, looking at cars, customizing cars, helping people with cars, and usually prefer be around car people. To me, my vehicles are an expression of who I am, and give me a great sense of indivudalism for the fact no other car on the road is 100 percent like mine. Seeing the finished product is worth the hours of blood, sweet, and tears that have been invested.
Everyt single car I have bought, I have envisioned. I would lay there at night, day dream about the next vehicle I wanted. Now granted I was thinking of cars that were cool, but also imaginable in my means. I would tell my self, I'm getting this as my next car. My taste in cars though is a little different from most, I prefer cars that have a large aftermarket following. Which means a lot of choices in parts to customize my car.
I do have a different taste in cars, not everyones, but its mine.
I built a model car of this truck when I was 20, and I had it built at 21. Still got her today and only 80,xxx original miles. I'm starting her facelift, in the next few weeks to give her a more contemporary look.

Here is a pic of my 87 cutlass, full air ride suspension, and a brand new 355 v8 motor, installed by me.

Finally here is a pic of my neon, yes I know it is a neon. It just put down 407 hp and 422 ft. lbs of torque. Hard to believe it, but its true and i have a dyno sheet to prove it.

I do not drive these daily, my wife drives a jeep liberty, and i commute in a little saturn. They stay in my 3 car garage of the house my wife and I just bought.
I'm not trying to brag, just show how fortunate I am as an indivdual. We all have our own wants and tastes and these are mine.
So after watching the secret I started to do some thinking, well actually alot of thinking. I've been following some of the rules for years. I've been extremly greatful my whole life for the life I have. I have given thanks almost everyday of my life to a higher power. I have visualized what I want, and I have achieved\received it if I believed it was in my means. I have always focused on myself, and what I need, not what others have. I always took to the philosphy someone will always have more than you, but someone willl always have less than you. So just concentrate on your self. With that in mind, my wife and I have set goals for ourselves, tried to make the best decisions we could and live a moderatelifestyle below our means. With that I have a great feeling of being contempt and happy, especially coming home from work
I also started to ask why am I so "lucky"? I try to be a genuinely good person, I have not done anything spectacular by my standards to help my fellow man. I know now to get to the next level in my life I need to do alot of work in myself. I have started looking into things I want in myself, to be a better father, husband, and son. To get my anger in check and be a more happier person.
I found Joe Vitales book very interesting. ( he lives in texas like me, so I was curious
and found his book free online). I can't rember the last time I actually even read a book. I have actively started taking a step back and see and feel the joy things in my life give me I that I have taken for granted. I now have a conscious need to say thank you through out the day, not just before I go to sleep. The things I did not take for granted feel even better now. Here are just a few.
1. Being with my family
2. hangin out with my cat
3.my morning ciggy and coffee
4.mydrive to work (early, no traffic, all highway)
5.coming home to my house
6. washing my car (lol one of my favorite things to do)
7.talking to friends
As for now I want more knowledge, I want to learn more about this I'm going to start reading Abraham Hicks, ask if it is given. I feel great right now that I'm making a positive change in my life, I actually feel awake and that my life is goingto be even greater than it is. I look forward to learning even more on here.
oh yeah...HI
