I was having a hard morning today, wondering what my future had for me. I was feeling a little sorry for myself because I'm not where I thought I would be and wondered if I would get to do something better than where I am. John Mayer's song "Bigger Than My Body" came on immediately after I thought this.

This morning I was feeling conflicted about which guy in my life I should pursue. One is an ex and we were debating working it out and the other is a new guy who I took a vacation with to New York this past weekend. I was driving to the gas station and I asked out loud "Who should I choose??" and pulled up next to a van with NY plates. I live in the middle of the US; these places are not close.

Mike and I are together in California making amazing memories together. I am fully supportive of his career aspirations and he of mine; he wants me to write my book. Together we aren't anything but happy. Deliriously happy to be with one another and to spend the evenings on the beach. We travel together and find places we both love. We laugh together always. We solve all of our problems using the method we have both agreed on. We are in love. We are together. We are happy.

I've been creeping around this forum for a few days now, do I decided it was time that I officially joined. I am very new to trying to be in touch with the Universe, but I feel like I've been incredibly lucky so far.

The other day I asked the Universe for a variety of signs to let me know if this guy I am hoping for a relationship with is worth my time and energy. When I got in my car, the song playing is the one that I associate with him and I passed a billboard that had his birthday in huge, bold letters and numbers advertising for a concert. I still haven't given full trust into the Universe (Shame on me, I know) so I asked it to send me an incredibly specific sign. He wants to eventually move to NYC and live there forever, so I asked for an NY license plate on the kind of car he drives. I'd completely forgotten about it, until I was walking to my parking garage and saw exactly that, the only car waiting on a stoplight, in front of my apartment building. I live in the middle of the country, so northeastern plates are rare.

Nothing has manifested yet, but I am incredibly hopeful that he will (And he WILL ) initiate contact besides Draw Something lol.
