I notice that a big problem, especially when knowing about loa, is fighting the reality. I say especially when knowing about loa, because when we hear about loa we discover that actually we have a say in what is happening to us. But the old thinking model "I have an issue and it has to be fixed" is still deep in our mind. And the disappointments arrive, because at every moment, as we are used to do it for so long, we look outside for the evidence of our work (be it visualizations, ri, rs, or hardcore work). It doesn`t matter what techniques are used, how many times, it is all useless when still focusing on fixing. So, stop trying to make something happen, you can`t, especially when there is big resistance. This doesnt mean it cannot happen to you, but most probably it will not happen unless you drop the struggle. Accept the current reality as it is and that you are ok, no matter if that implies having your desire or not. And just imagine that you are living your dream. Not to make it happen, but because you enjoy it. You do not have to trust anything, you do not have to rationalize anything, it doesn't matter if you believe or not in loa or in the reality of your imagination. Stop trying so hard.. just be your desire and it will be shown to you in the reality, too. You are not the do-er, something higher is taking care of the how, the when and all, you just have to be.

I agree, action is really important.  You can't just feel and believe all day while just sitting on your couch and expect great results.

I find it limiting to consider that action is the only way to go. Isn`t the need to go outside and make things happen a mistrust in the Universe`s ability to provide? Isn`t this the inability to see how everything around behaves according to our thoughts?

Being resentful is only hurting you, doesn`t make the situation better, it just poisons you. People may hurt you from time to time, but you have to understand that everybody, at any given moment, is doing what he/she feels it is the best thing to do. Think of anything you have done in your life, at that moment it was what you believed to be the best move. The same is for them. Forgive them and forgive yourself for feeling the way you feel towards them.

I get to the point where I believe that all these 3 steps are in fact just one. Here`s Neville`s Goddard definition of prayer:

I believe she is right about being able to manifest anything in 30 days. Especially considering that everything around us is a manifestation and it is so fast and effortless that we do not even realize most of the time that it is so.

But I do not agree with this approach and this is why I am not such a big AH fan. I`m not into the idea that if you want object x, you should ignore the fact that object x is missing and concentrate on everything else good that you have. Especially with the things that we really want. Ignoring doesn't mean it is not there and the mind will still register object x as missing, no matter how happy we become on any other subject. In my opinion we have to become "happy" on that particular subject first and then we`ll naturally have a more positive view on everything. Because, for example, if person x desires to have a relationship, it doesn't matter how happy she/he is about the career, about all the other things if when she/he thinks about this subject will feel hopeless.
It is all about stopping ourselves from observing that what we want is not there. But in my case ignoring doesn't work. I believe in changing the perception, in creating a clear picture of how we want to be on a particular subject and feeling our way into that state.   
You are tired because you`re fighting the reality.. you want to change it. Don`t be hard on yourself, we all do that. Cry if that feels good, do whatever you think is right for you in order to feel good. Don`t try to fake happiness and don`t do it because you think it will bring you something. This loa stuff is not like a task at work, where you manage to do it, no matter if you`re in the mood or not. It requires that you honestly feel something, in order to be reflected back to you. Effort to make it work or to make it better is futile.
Also do not expect to get into that feeling place from the first try. Just try to think better feeling thoughts day by day. It is like working out. You don't see the results after the first sessions, but the body is changing, if you persist in it. You do not need to force anything, just to be persistent, and not in order to manifest something, but just for yourself, because you deserve to feel good.
These things called "signs" are in fact manifestations. You ask for a sign and you get it, it is happening easy because there is not so much attachment to it, you don`t lose sleep over receiving or not a sign. I know it is difficult and frustrating, this is why you need to first get to the point where you know that you will be fine no matter what. This doesn't mean you have to quit on your desire of being with him, but just to realize that being with him is a choice because you love him and he is the one you want. When you are attached to something and you focus on worry, the Universe will see the worry, not your sincere intention, but your focus. You, as a human body can`t manifest and can`t figure out the way it will happen. All you can do, with directed focus, is to choose the reality that you prefer.
I believe it is hard because no matter at what level of believing in loa we find ourselves to be, we are still trying to use logic. We may understand logically that "ask and it is given" is the way in which it works. We search for how to use it better, how to make it work faster and we get stuck in an endless circle of never "mastering" it yet, of thinking that we are not there yet, but as soon as we find more answers we can start applying them and it will work. Yes, it is normal to look for ways to understand how it works, because we first need to decide a model for how reality appears to be working for us. But searching and searching in an attempt to satisfy the brain can not satisfy the heart. And the heart needs to feel. I do not think we can find anywhere a guide on how to put our trust only in our vision and that no amount of knowledge can make us do so. We do not need to trust loa or to even believe in it, all we have to trust is our vision. The only way to have something is to SEE it is there already.
I also want to thank you for this topic, came just in time for me, too.
Don't know how to explain it because sometimes it seems hard even for me to repeat that process and it is totally weird. But I guess I just have to accept that this is mind`s stupid habit of reacting, product of years of behaving in a certain way and that it means nothing. Also, I didn't find it useful to try to follow some rules, or better said to try to repeat the process in order to get results. Because feeling something in order to get results doesn't work, it is in fact the need for something to appear in order to feel that way, hence the not having, not really feeling it. Don`t know if it makes sense.
I get the feeling crazy part. :) In my opinion this the one and only step we have to take. To decide that either a) "I will continue living the same way as I did until now, accepting to be hurt from time to time and not obtain all that I want, because this is how life is, so I`ll play it safe", or b) "It is more important to me to live my dream". In other words, to have such a strong desire to feel what you want to feel, that everything else becomes irrelevant. To somehow take the risk of becoming crazy, and feel whatever you want. To "Wear" that feeling of living the reality of your desire all the time and when doubt appears to reinforce that feeling. And doubt goes away because the feeling is stronger. You can`t doubt what you have. You can`t fear that something will not happen when you are "living" it.

Because we grew up learning to live with limitations. We are used to look outside, and based on what we observe we make an opinion and feel accordingly. Basically, to feel according to what our senses tell us. To trust them because they tell us what is "real". To somehow have our brain win in the constant battle between the mind and heart, because that`s the rational thing to do. To base our everything on facts. Our minds learned for years to depend exclusively on the exterior. We don't believe something until we see it right there in our faces. And sometimes not even in that moment, because we look for more and more proof, again, on the outside.
All these while using LoA in our benefit requires the reverse behavior. To get our desires we must find the way to quit looking for proofs of their presence in the physical world and feel the reality of their presence on the inside.
The ego lives in fear. Keeps us in a comfort zone, because it feels that is safer this way, even tho it may imply pain and hurt sometimes. It accepts "bad", because it wants to protect you from "worse". The ego is in a permanent need for control.
I see LoA working perfectly in every second of my life, but I am still amazed how this fear still finds its way to operate. How it has a silly opinion on every positive idea: "what are the chances?"; "it will be worse"; "it will never happen" and so on. And even if sometimes we manage to pass all these negations and try to envision something that we`d like, we can still hear that little evil voice in the back of the mind saying "it is not real, you`re deluding yourself". And most of the times we believe it and give up. We sacrifice what our hearts want because our mind was too scared to even allow us to imagine something. This is a hell of a resistance that we find ourselves facing sometimes.
We shouldn`t think in terms of fighting and removing fear or resistance. It may be the most useless and harmful fight ever. By focusing on something that needs to be fixed, all we`ll generate is something that is not the way we like it. We would feed the fear and resistance with all our attention, hoping that at some point they will be gone and we will be able to focus on what matters to us. We need to accept that resistance is there, will always be there for a subject or another, to recognize it and don't get tricked into giving attention to it. To take the decision that fear may exist, but will not rule our life.
What worked for me (when I had "success" with it), was the decision that thinking safe thoughts and feeling safe feelings was not something I could settle for any longer. Suppressing the desires was not an option anymore, because all that mattered was what the heart wants: to feel that I have what I want, no matter if it shows up in the reality or not. To be able to have that feeling in my heart no matter of what anyone or anything says or shows.
I may sound crazy, but I like him, he is fun sometimes. :)
And even if he has negative comments, maybe some may take them as motivation; reminds me of the saying "if you want me to do something tell me I can`t do it"

That voice you hear in your head, telling you it is not true is FEAR. Now...all your life you based your thoughts and feelings on what was on the outside. But think of looking at yourself in the mirror and try to understand that everything that you know as real and true is nothing more than your mind mirrored and materialized in people and situations.
Do not be afraid of the pain. The more you try to avoid it, the more you will fear it and will make you feel bad. Face it, as scary as it may be. It cannot harm you, unless you allow it. Accept that it is there and that it means nothing. It really doesn't. Feel it and put it aside. It will always be there, but this doesn't mean it has to control you.
Do not expect to turn from negative to positive in a blink of an eye. We`re human, not robots. But do your best to free yourself from everything that is not serving you. This is the main goal. Then.. if you still feel a desire for something, you can start from that point with better and better feeling thoughts. Try to monitor your thoughts, while being aware that none of these thoughts are part of you, unless you identify yourself with them. And then select which thoughts you are going to entertain. It is like shopping, you do not have to buy the whole store, you buy only what you need and you leave the rest behind.
Psychic readings mean nothing. No one can predict your future but yourself. Your future is determined by what you focus on now. Everything you`re searching for is on the inside. Reality is always giving back to you the reflection of what you are, so the only person that needs to change is you and the rest will follow.
