I needed this!
(1/1)
Queen Of Light:
I've been going back and forth with positive/negative feelings for the past 2 weeks worrying that my desires are never going to manifest and dealing with some trying times in my current reality. It's been very hard for me to deal with because I DO NOT want to give up on my desires and the wonderful future I want to create for myself. But because I've been feeling more negative lately, I've been reading "Ask and It Is Given". Here is a wonderful quote from it that has helped me continue the path, and I hope helps some of you out as well who have been feeling some despair in your LOA journey lately.
--- Quote ---When you drive your vehicle from place to place, you have an awareness of your starting place as well as
an awareness of where you are going. You accept that you cannot get there instantaneously; you accept
that you will travel the distance, and in time, you will arrive at your destination. And while you may feel
anxious to get there, and maybe even tire of the journey, you do not get so discouraged at the midway
mark that you just turn around and go back to your starting place. You do not drive back and forth and
back and forth from your starting point to the midway point and then finally collapse from the never ending
journey.
You do not announce your inability to accomplish your journey. You accept the distance between your
starting place and where you desire to be—and you continue to move in the direction of your destination.
You understand what is required—and you do it. And we want you to come to know that the journey
between where you are and where you want to be—on all subjects—can be just as easily understood.
--- End quote ---

@Queen of Light: Thanks for sharing this! I've been feeling something similar to you recently...so this is just what I needed =)
truelove:
Yes! Exactly Queen of Light.
They used a similar analogy in a video I was watching recently, talking about the journey.
For example if you were taking 400 mile trip and after the first mile thought. "I'm not there yet... failure. Mile two, not there yet.. failure. Mile three... not there yet.. failure."
This is what we sometimes tend to do! Instead we need to acknowledge that we are on our way, just keep pointed in the right direction (i.e. in a state of allowing) and know you will get there!!
A nice post :)
