If the universe knows best, then why wish at all?

I was thinking a lot about LOA these days, and a doubt struck me. In many posts, you emphasize that the universe/God knows what is best for us, especially through phrases such as "what you want may not be what is best for you"

Doesn't that contraddict the idea of wishing or wanting something, or someone?

Then why bother using LOA anyway, if you can already be happy getting what you will get anyway?

Some people might think they want a sports car when in fact they struggle to pay the rent. Simply wishing for a sports car, and focusing on that is not how LOA works IMO.

It is important to not to restrict what you want too finely as you will block all the other sources from which abundance can come. It is also wise to find out why you might want a sports car.

You are a part of the Universe. The Universe is not a separate force operating in a realm that you tap in and out of. You, me and the Universe are One. Every thought you think bends the universe in a direction that is like that thought. You express desire because that is how you participate in the Universe.

And, the thing is, you cannot avoid expressing desire. Every thought is a desire and every thought expresses. Your getting specific with your desire is for you to be deliberate about the expressions/manifestations that show up in your life.

When we say that the Universe/God knows what is best for us, it is an affirmation that God/Universe is good, and the least that the Universe can be to us is good.

You can only attract what is for your highest good. Even the experiences that we label bad, eventually are viewed as good, when we look at how those experiences opened doors for us that we didn't know needed to be opened.

You ask the question "why bother using LOA anyway." It is impossible NOT to use the Law of Attraction. Every thought you think activates the Law of Attraction. It's like the Law of Gravity. Whether you think about it or not, you are always using it. It does not cease its functionality because you don't understand it.

You are 100% correct - you can be happy regardless of your circumstances. You do not need cars, money, houses, etc to be happy. In fact, your happiness should not depend upon the appearance of those things in your life.

Understanding the Law of Attraction allows you to deliberately use it. And, since you can be deliberate about it, you may as well have the things you want to experience.

The purpose of ones life is not to create outer realities.
It is much much more. The purpose of LOA is perhaps to teach us that we are one with the universe.
However using the law of attraction as is means duality.

It's true the Universe knows what is the best for us. The Universe will always give us the best we can have. However, if we do not ask the Universe for the best, we will not get the best. That is why we must use the Law of Attraction... we must intend to attract the best.

I think that saying God/The Universe knows what is best for us is true...BUT don't use it as a get out clause. "Oh it wasn't meant to be". That's just playing the victim.  The universe at large shows what is possible for you. That is the whole point of your wishes and wants.

If you can wish it, see it, hear it, feel it for even a brief moment you can achieve it or get what is possible.

The universe says, you can have A,B,C which one do you want? Most people go...err.I don't know. or I don't want X,Y,Z Moneypoems/Denise puts it excellently.
