Ok you lovely lot,
I was in a place of contrast for a short time this evening but it made me realise I may be ready for a relationship at last, I have been on my own for a while by choice. So I have decided to make a list of the qualities I desire in a mate. Top of the list male but I am kind of running out of steam (dont get me wrong I have substantially more than simply male) and I got to wondering what some qualities other people find attractive. I figured it might be quite fun to see what my friends here come up with a kind of vortex weird science if you will. Of course if the suggestions dont appeal to me I just wont add them to the list. Dont be afraid to have fun with it I hear that laughter is one of the best ways to get into that there vortex. Love and Peace HF x

Note - I seem to have run out of room in the reply box, so will have to end with loving children - I had lots of other things to add, but the reply window's gone wonky and will only let me add to the front, so will have to come back later - here's how my message is so far:

Running out of steam? That won't do.

My list would go something like (in no particular order):

- mental, emotional and physical chemistry

- scarily intelligent

- great in bed

- empathetic and considerate

- thinks I'm fabulous

- good looking with great body (okay, a bit shallow, but it's nice when people take care of themselves)

- insightful

- original thinker

- principal led and compassionate

- full of energy and enthusiasm

- critical / analytical thinker

- good sense of humour, and a bit cheeky

- loves people and gets on with them well

- has charisma

- loves animals

- preferably vegetarian

- non-smoker

- needn't be non-drinker, but doesn't get stupid / embarrassingly drunk

- composed and self - assured / confident

- has a passion /career / calling in which he is successful

- open minded and interested in learning new things

- loves children (as a subset of people, which he will also love

)

well depends lol some ppl like to get slapped and some like a painless relationship! JK but me i like some 1 who is honest loyal is my biggest and i will jus list them! Kind hearted, independent, funny, laid back, likes to have two kids, enthusiastic about life, helpful, beautiful! Just any loving and fun qualities

I had loads more, but technical issues got in the way.

I'll see how many more I can fit in this window (sorry, I'm just loving this list!!)

- considers me a priority in his life, treats me lovingly, affectionately, and respectfully

- strong and resilient, but can talk openly about problems

- good communicator generally, doesn't clam up or retreat inwardly

- as subset of above - trusts me enough to come to me when he has a problem

- and just loves talking, emailing, communicating generally - keeps me in the loop!

- shares the good times too

- as subset of kind and compassionate, specifically is kind, compassionate and considerate towards me - cares about how I feel

I'm on an even smaller screen now and tech issues are coming up again, so will have towns here again.

I'd make that one: loves my cooking and is a great washer-upper

Which then makes me think:

- neat and tidy, but not anal about it

and

- easy-going, positive / appreciative outlook

and then, totally out of the blue, how could I have forgotten:

- cuddly, affectionate and playful!

I don't know if it's a priority but I would add "Good Cook" to the list.

I had a boyfriend that I lived with for 6 years and the man didn't cook......what a pain!! I promised myself, my next man MUST be able to cook. I love my guy so much and his cooking is AWESOME!!! LOVE IT!!!

ye im kind of that type i dont cook every time i tried ppl made fun of my mistakes so i gave up but i might try again ha! owell i would also say they have to be goal driven!

It's fun to learn how to cook.

One thing I would recommend, cause I know I'm a sweet tooth and alot of women I know are sweet tooths, learn how to make desserts.

Chocolate covered strawberries: Mmmmmm unless the girl's allergic to strawberries

I'll add another:

Killer eyes and smile. Eyes don't have to be a specific color or anything, but I personally feel that eyes hold certain personality traits.

Yeah eyes are the gateway to the soul my soul mates got beautiful eyes meaning beautiful soul! Also yea desserts are fun i helped my ex with making desserts but cooking no! Every time i wanted to cook for my ex she took over and told me to sit down ha! Sorry i cant do separate paragraphs im on my ps3..

I have great eyes, but I still enjoy are REAL meal.....meat and potatoes........plus veggies! That will turn my head over any dessert!! Just saying!

Haha yeah behind my sunglasses i got nice eyes to but I still am trying to catch up to my list i got to have all these qualities first before i can find my soul mate... I know its coming soon tho i feel it!

Big wallet and big heart.

When I was 16 I did a list and I got my dream guy maybe like 6-12 months later. No affirmations no visualizing no trying to feel good, just partying and being 16. I met him around 17, it was like a movie. He went away for a while, we got back in touch and did everything a GF and BF would do and on Nov 15th 2008 he asked me to be his official gf. Been together ever since. I got every single thing I put on my list. From tattoos to the taste in music, oh its so gorgeous to meet someone and just KNOW. It was like "oh hey, where have you been? " when we first met, I have the biggest smile on my face right now, Im the luckiest girl in the world. God, I love every cell in his body and vice versa.... Ive never met anyone as in love or as happy as us, you just have this gut feeling when you know thats "the one". I love that it just so happened that my "one" was the same one that fit my list. AW I LOVE MY PRECIOUS OCTOPUS<3 (One of his nicknames from me, cute romantic story too long to post) Hahah sry once I get started on this guy I cant stop, theres too much to love about him and it feels so good to do so.

But yeahh
The list works, just dont make it your priority. When I did it I didnt even trust if it worked or not, I didnt even think about it, randomly I would think "Oh I wonder where I left that piece of paper.. I wonder if that will ever happen" maybe like once a month if not longer, I think it would have happened faster if I had cared more about feeling good, but I was just partying, at the time knowing nothing about LOA other than the two minutes of a TV show I saw about making a list of your dream guy and puting it away somewhere and forgetting about it and how "it really works". Which it really did.
