Hey, i have a really important question, now im a christian and i believe in god and Jesus and i go to church. I finished reading the secret today, and i am very confused, does "the secret" not believe in god? does it go against Christianity?

They don’t affiliate with one religion or another. They are pretty much neutral in that way, but they do not say there is no God or Jesus. In fact the teachings are pretty much the same. We all came from the same place, a divine place, we have spiritual guidance from a greater source. I know listening to Ester, and her law of attraction videos, she talks about Jesus. She also mentions God but in a more general sense.

I don’t think the teachings are contradictory or go against one another. They teach love and understanding, and having knowledge that there is a greater power out there looking out for us.

Dont let the Law of attraction conflict your beliefs, let it expand on them.
I now see the 'Universe' and 'God' as the same thing, and use the image of my Gods (in Sikhism) to define the Universe.

Yeah I've had the same concern from time to time, seeing as how I'm a born again christian. However, the secret has helped me understand the bible a whole lot more.
I think in a way it can be hard to understand the bible because the writing is so old and different than what we are used to, and well when I go to church well the people who do the readings really don't make them interesting. People get bored and don't pay attention. I consider the secret a modern translation of what God was trying to teach us through the bible, and a tool we can use to help us have greater faith in God and greater understanding of the bible. The law of attraction is all powered through love, and what did Jesus teach us to do? Love one another, love our enemies, love our neighbors, love them as ourselves. And forgive others who do bad against us. I'm kinda rambling but I think you get the picture.

I believe in God as well. Let me tell you what my Bishop said in one of his sermons.

First let me explain how he is. He is very straight forward. He teaches the Bible in a way you can understand in the world today.

He came out one day telling us that the world is ours. He said we could have so much more. He said if you believe, it is yours. He read passages within the Bible supporting what he said (sorry, I do not remember them). He also told us that whenever we ask for anything, to visualize so it would be clear on what we want.

When I first started using LOA I was too confused, but then I remembered what he said years ago. He said ask, believe, receive AND visualize. How I see it, God created the universe.

Welcome Friend-

I completely agree with all these lovely souls on this board

I believe in God first and foremost and for me they--God and The Universe--are one and the same..it's all about God!!!!!!

For me, i find that i have learned more about God and the bible through my LOA practices then anything else..so if your belief in God is strong then you will find LOA to be very natural and easy i believe.

oh, i forgot to mention that it was god who brought me here...
i prayed alot, didnt know what to do anymore- absolutely deadend.
prayed to the angels as well cause i believe in them too...
asked that they would help me out of this all and my prayers have been answered.

since i am here, my life turned to the best.... i feel like being happier than i ever was in my life

its the best medicine to get out of depressions!!!

I am a Christian, too, and I don't find the LOA contradictory. It's the same Source, Universe/God.

I am a Muslim and at the beginning i was also confused that Is LOA against my religion or what?
Later i was surprised to find that each and everything in LOA is already described in our Holy Qur'an.

So i think LOA does not conflict with any religion. Moreover if we follow LOA, we will be more religious day by day.
