Coincidence?

Maybe you can help me with something.  On Sunday, I went to a bday party for my nephew.  On our way home we decided to take the route our navigator gave us, a path we have never traveled before.  This morning I wasn't able to travel my normal way to work and had to take the same path I took for the first time on Sunday.  Any thoughts on why this would come about?

I no longer believe in things being a coincidence.
You were shown the different route for a reason and one reason being to show you a new route to work being that you weren't able to travel the usual route.

So the Universe just knew I wouldn't be able to take that way to work? I thought we manifest our own destiny?

We manifest our destinies, but if you weren't shown that route a few days before having to take it you wouldn't have been too familiar with it.  If you weren't shown that route, would you have known any other routes to take? I think you can also look at it like this.. There is more than one route to get to where we want to go in our lives.

Sheri what happened before you first took that route and after you took that route? Was the route a short cut to your work place? Or was it a more exciting/beautiful route? May be you thought you would like to find a route with less traffic and you got this? Or you thought the previous route was too crowded and you found a route even more crowded? The manifestation could be negative or positive. I mean i don't know how different this new route was from your old one. So just think about the uniqueness of the new route. Did you attract any of those factors consciously or subconsciously? Of course there are no coincidences and you know that
