Hello , i was reading the forum and i thought that would be nice to write about de "binaural beats"
To put it simple binaural beats are a type o sounds that help you to sync your brain activity and frequencies .
How it works ? , just like our eyes with we see 2 images and the brain compose them to just one image wich allow us to see distances for example and percieve the three dimensions , our ears can do the same thing with sounds so we can know from where a sound comes.
With binaural beats we hear one sound of one frequency in one ear and another sound of ALMOST the same frequency in the other ear , binaural beats just works with headphones.
So , for example if you want to achieve an ALPHA state (calm , relaxation, etc) your brain must raise a 10Hz vibration (10 beats per second), aour ears are limited to hear about 30 Hz or 20 in the low frecuence so we can't hear 10hz , what can we do?.
Using our brain ability to compose sounds what we do es for example , in one ear we put a frecuency of 500hz that we can hear , and in the other ear a frecuency of 510 hz , and guess what? , our brain forms a third sound of 10hz right in the middle of our heads!.
i know there are a lot of commercial solutions for this technique , cd, mp3 etc , but there is another solution almost cost free , and that is to use a software like audacity , that is free and open source to generate one sound for the right channel an other to the left channel , then just save it and use it in any device you want.
The sound you will hear it's pure , without music and any distraction , and your brain will react very fast to the sound , of course yo can mix it with some music or any sound you like , like a river o water if you want to.
You can use any frecuency to make your sound , but the theory says that we must place the sound between 100-900/1000 Hz , because over the 1000Hz the sounds turns directional and we can't percieve them very well for this technique.
Ok, that's all for now , if you have interst on this i can help you if you want.
Light for all of you!, Matias.
