Weight loss success tips

Here are some tips to help you succeed in your weight loss endeavors for 2011

1)Remember, the past does not equal the future.  Drop your past attempts and the times that maybe you did not succeed and start fresh from this moment.

2)Get Goals

Choose the ideal weight you are striving towards and stay focused on that.  A good goal will help give you some motivation and movement. Without a good goal in mind, are minds just focus on all the negative stuff and we have no direction.  Also, a goal lets us be aware of how good or poor our progress is. 

If you do not have a goal, your chances of succeeding drop dramatically.

-Focus on the benefits of what you will get when you lose the weight. 

Create a list of at least 4 things that excite you around reaching your ideal weight.  This will give you motivation and make it compelling.  Just willpower alone does not go too far because the mind usually is not excited to succeed.  The idea of losing weight MUST feel good for you to be motivated.  Create a list of some of the benefits you will receive like:

-Fitting into clothes more nicely
-Getting more positive attention from others
-Looking better in a bathing suit
-knowing you look better to the opposite sex
-looking better in your wedding gown
-the satisfaction of looking in the mirror and seeing a flat stomach and how nice that feels


These are just a few examples.  You need to think of these benefits everyday, even if just for a few minutes.  The reason for this is because your mind will get excited, but also, your mind will associate all good things to working out and eating well instead of just seeing images of deprivation and sacrifice.  Eventually, you will condition the mind to associate a lot of pleasure to being thin and this will help drive you to success.

Go through your list every day and FEEL the benefits you chose.  Eventually, these feeling will sink into the subconscious mind and then this will become a habit requiring less effort on your end to keep conjuring these images up.  Until then, keep going through your list, with feeling.  Stick with this image process for at least 3 weeks.

-Visualize  yourself exercising vigorously.

Before you work out too intensely, first take a couple of weeks to just SEE yourself working out with some intensity, ideally, breaking a slight sweat or more.  Keep seeing this image for a minute or so a day to train your mind to want to do this.  Don't jump in too soon to hard exercise because this usually has a backlash effect.  If you work out too hard too soon, you often will not want to work out again.  The body associates hard, unpleasant workouts with TORTURE and no one likes torture, we are wired to avoid it.  Instead, take a couple of weeks to SEE yourself working out with some intensity and soon you will NATURALLY feel more compelled to do it with less resistance.

-Do a lot of cardio.  I suggest doing at LEAST 4 hours of cardio a week if you are serious.  Usually, less than that will get you nowhere.

-Learn some basics of good nutrition. 

We could go on about this for 100 pages, but the short version is:
-avoid too much sugar
-avoid too much fat
-avoid processed carbs
-avoid too much meat of all types

Eat a lot of:
-fruits
-vegetables
-whole grains
-fiber
-beans and lentils


Drink mostly just water and herbal based teas and iced teas.

That is a very, very abbreviated version of how to eat to lose weight.

-Identify all your negative beliefs around exercise  or weight loss and change them to more positive ones.  Like:

-It's too hard
-I'll never succeed
-working out is super boring


Stuff like that.  You can change those too:

-I can work out gradually and it wont be so hard.
-I am committed to succeeding and if I remain committed, success is guaranteed
-Working out can be fun if I find ways to enjoy it like listening to good music and going slower in my pace so that I dont burn out.  Exercise is now fun!

See what I mean?  You need to clear out all your blocks because they will sabotage you.

OK folks? I know this is long, but I wanted to give you something that is pretty complete.

Many people think that if the Law of Attraction can actually give   anything and everything they want, why not use it to lose the weight   that they so really want to get rid of? Can the Law of Attraction be   actually used to lose weight? My answer is a simple yes – but with exceptions.

Brian Guzman,i read your post its really useful...One should avoid oily food...Do regular exercise ...Make a diet chart and follow that.....It is possible to lose weight ....

i'm currently trying to lose weight and yes i previously have struggled with diets and exercise in the past mainly because of motivation.... but this time after learning about the law of attraction i can tell my mind set has changed considerably.

Dont get me wrong when i'm on that trendmill i do get doubts like 'oh your legs are starting to ache now gotta stop' and 'aint this boring when you can be at home having some chessecake' but then i just tell myself to shut up and then visualise my ideal weight and think to myself in the grand scheme of things what is 5 minutes on the trendmill - its nothing!!
by that time my 5 minutes are up and i feel better, i also talk to myself - in my head of course - like i'm a boot camp instructor!! helps me... plus i list down all the postives for example i have so much energy now then before and i dont feel tired all the time etc....

identifying negative beliefs  is a huge task as once you understand why these negaitve beliefs occur you can change it around...

I personal experience says that Law of Attraction can actually give anything and everything we want,
the only thing is that we need willingness from heart and dedication towards the aim. i am proud to say that i loose my 15 KG within 40 days
