One of the main reasons people do not succeed with weight loss is simply because they have not properly programmed the mind to win in losing weight. Here are some nice, practical tips to help you succeed.
#1)Imagination is much more powerful than willpower
What does this mean? It means that when the imagination and the will are battling, imagination always will win in the end. For example, if you love cookies and see them in your mind in such a way that they seem "irresistible" and you simply are using brute willpower by saying "No, I must resist this temptation, no, no, I must be strong", that will not really work for long. What needs to happen is that in some way, you need to imagine being THIN as much more colorful and inviting than just eating high-sugar, high-calorie foods that make you fat. Willpower always cracks. It’s reprogramming the mind with images and thoughts of success that you are after, not more willpower.
Next is that you need to focus on what you DO WANT with your weight loss goals.
You will not succeed if you are always just fixated on "I’m fat and look horrible. Look at my stomach and thighs, yuck!" If that is where all your focus is going, you will never be propelled in the direction of success. You need to focus on the outcome your desire. Choosing a good goal weight and repeating it daily is a great idea. Keep imagining and repeating the goal weight daily so that you drop the problem focus and create solution focus.
Next is: Create a thin person self image
If you don't get to a place to where you can SEE you as a thin person, you will never move forward in that direction with much passion or power. If you always see yourself in your mind as chubby, you will simply not have the personal power and belief to be lean and thin. Create an image of seeing youself in a movie and see yourself enjoying a wonderful day at your ideal weight. See yourself as thin, energetic, looking great in clothes, getting tons of compliments. This is actually quite easy and fun. Doing this will send a euphoric flow all throughout your body and mind. Also, it will give you that extra enthusiasm that will help you stay away from fatty foods because you will be so drawn to wanting to be the thin You.
