Should I be visualizing short term or long term money?
« on: February 02, 2012, 01:06:20 AM »
I'm doing what I love for a living.... I'm extremely grateful for this, but I make about $20,000 a year. This is great, but it won't cut it in the real world. I'm currently living in my dad's house rent free, so $20,000 works for now, but I want to get out on my own with my own rent and bills. My eventual goal is big money.... like $200,000 a year type of range. For me to be comfortable on my own, with no day job or borrowing, i need $50,000 a year. Should I be putting my energies toward the $50,000 or the $200,000?
Serenity now!

I'm happy to hear that you are doing what you love for a living.  I think you should focus your energy on what YOU really want.  There is a catch though, you have to believe in it for yourself.  If you believe that 50,000 is possible, then do that.  If you can see yourself making 200,000, then do that.  The attraction process of what idesa will come to you will be different for each amount.  My suggestion is to dream big and have courage. =) One time I've focused on a certain amount of money and ideas came for that.  Then when I focused on a larger amount, larger ideas came.  It's really neat!

I am certain that there is a creative way to translate the work that you love into a more money generating kind of work.  You just have to think about it long enough and ideas will come to you.  Just because you are earning 20,000 a year does not mean that that's the amount of money you are limited to in that field.  Just think of it this way: there is a possible way, you just don't know it yet.

Good luck!

Aan

For starters, you are focusing on specific amounts which usually creates resistance. Compare these two statements: "I want 200,000 next year" with "I want to feel my financial abundance". Which one do you think is better and worse? Not only that, why would you ask for 200,000 when you could ask for more? For all you know, the Universe has millions lined up for you.

Also, by focusing on dollars you lose track of what it is you truly want, which is to FEEL GOOD. You say you want 200,000 but what are you going to do with it? How is it that you want to feel when you have that money? The real secret to attracting more dollars is to focus on the end goal which is to feel good. If you would make it your intention to start finding those better feelings, you begin allowing the dollars to flow to you. So in short, FEEL GOOD first and the money will come as a natural by product. Stop making it about money!
