Why Do Many In This Forum Have So Little Faith??

LOA works for everyone.  I've been reading The Astonishing Power of Emotions and in it says that you can wish to have a specific someone by thinking of the positive aspects about them and your time with them. This is where free will comes into play, the person u want can choose to agree with those feelings or disagree. Maybe theyre ready, maybe not. If they arent ready, LOA will bring someone who matches what you want. The important part isnt so much having a specific person(theres no real reason to give all your hope to one person anyways cuz its not their job to make u happy. theres millions of people who naturally have qualities that you want). It's more about having what u want. If someone u want isnt willing to give u what u want, LOA will bring u another person who matches what your looking for. So with the 10 guy scenario, nobody really loses unless they dont really know what they want.

Well yes, I'm aware of that (I used to lecture in physics in fact, long ago) - although the multiple universes thing is just one theory. I was asking about your interpretation, with how you see that in relation to LOA and consciousness. I'm interested, genuinely. I've got my own theories, all of which are totally wild speculation, and I'm interested in what others think.

Paris : Yes, now you are citing one of the opinions which I criticised in my first post. If you look closer into the arguments why these people get what they want, you will se that actually they don't. Most authors acknowledge that and openly state that LOA cannot be used to attract a specific person. When you have to resort to arguments such as people do not really know what they want, your arguments are also obviously weak. Furtheron: from the need to respect free will when it comes to relationships it follows that free will has to be respected in other cases as well. If you look closer into it, there is really no difference.

Bele im not exactly sure what your argument is. Saying people dont know what they want isnt a weak argument. Sometimes know more clearly what they dont want and arent yet able to acknowledge what they do want. When u are more focused on what you do want, the universe brings you want. The same works vice versa. It's true LOA doesnt always bring you the specific person that you want but LOA has the ABILITY to. Thats thee point. It's all in how bad you want it and how much u can think of it in a positive way. I respect that you have an opinion, I'm just not sure I'm fully sure what you're trying to say. To me it seems like you're trying to argue something that we all already believe. I'm not sure.

Ginny: Well, I also used to lecture in physics long ago, although my PhD and professorship are in a totally different area. I also have some interest in Indian and yogic practice and philosophy. Still my theories are also totally wild speculation, although to some degree based on personal spiritual experiences. Basically, I do believe in the advaita theory. However that does not solve this issue, although it kind of puts things in a certain perspective. Still, I believe that our experiences are created from within; that we so to say always get what we want or ask for. At least a part of this is probably pre-programmed in our sub-conscious or even unconscious. But then our dreams and wishes are also kind of pre-programmed, so this does not mean that they cannot come true, but rather the opposite; that we tend to dream of or wish for what will actually happen to us. If our reality is thus arranged from within, there are basically two major options. Either each of us creates his/her own reality, or we do all of us together co-create one common reality. If we all create our individual realities, i.e. our own universes, the issue comes up what part we take in the universes created by the others. However, from the perspective of the advaita theory this is not a major issue; in all the universes it is true that there is basically the same consciousness in every being. Separation is only an illusion. And what a mess a co-created universe would be if it was not all decided in advance and if each of us can actually change our lives with the help of the law of attraction! A co-created universe is of course possible, but then the law of attraction works only when we wish for what will actually happen. This may be true and it is possible that we always only wish for what will happen. But if the universe is constructed in this way, it is very complicated to explain to a person living within that universe why the law of attraction works (the attempts made are not totally convincing!). That person would be much easier to convince if told that he/she created his/her own universe (and there wouldn’t, from a practical point of view, be any difference). Of course, we may also imagine a mix of both these major options; our private universes may differ when it comes to issues which do not involve other people. I hope this gives some insights into how I think and I would appreciate to hear about your “wild speculation”.

@BELE, my post was in SUPPORT of you.  I was deleriously happy and chill while I wrote it because i am a beautiful woman reunited with a handsome man and i can tell you from experience that most women are constantly surrounded by men who are courting them.  My advice to you was to be chill, relax and let the answers come to you.  This is advice that I was and am following myself.  Just because you see ''competion" for your affection doesn't mean it's actually there.  Perhaps we are from different cultures, because it is obvious that we are not understanding one another.  But to each his own.

loveofabundance: Thank you for making that clear! When you ask someone to calm down, it is in my experience most often because you think he/she is tiresome and you want to "hit with the big stick" to make them stop what they are doing.

Paris, with all due respect, you come across hypocritical when in your post to one of my threads, you expressed limiting beliefs about the law of attraction. Youre one of the main reasons why I created this thread in the 1st place in addressing why people put limits on the LOA.

I totally disagree with you. From past experience, I've used LOA to bring back a specific person in my life that at the time that didnt want anything to do with me. I think that if you and the universe are in total agreement that the specific person you want will come to you, then, she/he will come to you. Its the law of the uiniverse (LOA). This agreement is the firm confidence of your faith. If you feel any doubts within your being, then, you cast doubts and the specific person wont come.

Again, this is one of the many posts that Ive come across that manifest limiting beliefs about the power of LOA. It seems that there are negative people out there who dont know theyre negative... weird.

Again, this is a negative post from someone who expresses little faith in LOA and possibly him/herself. Just to clarify things, you can attract a specific person into your life again. Its all a matter of belief power and faith. Take my case for example. A girl that liked me at 1st stopped calling me. Whenever i bumped into her, she'd give me really dirty looks and negative feedback. At the same time, I continued enforcing my faith though LOA with AVs (affirmations and visualizations). After 3 months, this person come around in the same way that I had visualized her to come back to me. It was like magic. Why did this happen? I didnt allow negativity or lack of faith to disarm me. I looked deep down inside myself and asked if it was possible for this girl and me to come back together. The unbaised answer was 'yes'. The answer was the agreement between me and the universe (LOA). But, I had to work really hard to keep my mind from wandering into negative territory. It was hard mental and spritual work. But, I stuck to my guns and did it. Now, this girl is all over me.

If you guys are too weak in faith or dont want to put in the extra effort in getting what you want in life, then, dont complain about LOA... its that simple.
