Hi,

Have just been thinking about the following question; what's the difference between getting your ex back and trying to improve an existing relationship? Surely the fact that you 'had' a relationship, in the most literal sense, with your ex, means that there's still a relationship, on a vibrational level, between the two of you?

What an awesome thought! That's an interesting way of viewing things. Instead of trying to get your ex back, it's just improving an existing relationship. I like that.

So I would think that the only difference that would exist is one that you create yourself. If you chose to view it as improving an existing relationship, then I think you would be light years ahead of those who are trying to get an ex back. Because in your mind, there's already a relationship, there is no ex or loss or mourning or obstacles to overcome. You already have a relationship, you just need to work on some things. Plus, when I think of the things that a person does to improve a relationship...they seem so easy and reachable in comparison to trying to attract an ex back. There isn't the same sort of resistance. Wow. This is pretty awesome to think about.

I agree. I don't think there is a fundamental difference, it's just a matter of degrees. Sort of like, what's the difference between repairing a fence versus re-erecting one that got knocked down in a storm.

I do not think there is a difference between getting your ex back and trying to improve an existing relationship. The relationship ended because of its flaws and surely when one wants to get his/her ex back, it is with an improved relationship and very loving the next time around:) Taking responsibility why the relationship ended and working inwards will make the relationship more loving and improved
