Using a celebrity as visualization tool? LOL
« on: May 09, 2012, 09:31:00 AM »
This is a weird post, but sometimes those are the most fun, yeah?

So, I wasn't actively trying to manifest a relationship because I have higher priorities at the moment, but then I developed this huge celebrity crush that has me feeling like a teeney bopper all over again... and I discovered that if I do try to visualize being in a relationship and add him into the picture, he certainly adds a lot of oomph. So I thought, 'Why not use this to my advantage?' Especially since I'm not feeling desperate for a relationship and can therefore have fun with it.

Now, to be clear, I'm not trying to manifest a relationship with this person (though I wouldnt mind if I did, LOL), I'm just using him to make my visualizations more powerful and fun than they are if I try to picture
someone I don't yet know.

My question, or proposed topic of discussion, then, is: How might LOA respond to something like this? Since my intention is basically to have the essence of what a relationship with this person would give me, is that what I will attract? Or since I am *ahem* so clearly visialuzing a specific person, will it interpret my efforts as wanting that particular man (which probably wouldn't work as there are thousands of other women having similar thoughts)?

you very often get it!" ~Somerset Maugham

When I visualize my soul-mate I use the image of the sexy guy on my aviator :P....any potential soul-mate I have manifested always looks like him... 8) 8) 8)...I was thinking the same thing, that the universe might think I want him specifically since I clearly use his face.  Hey, do not get me wrong, if I bumped into him at the grocery story and he asked me out, dang I would accept in a heartbeat.. :D...however the universe gets that I want a twin of him and does give me what I ask when I am in alignment... :P

I used to visualize about rock stars all the time for the past 20 years. Of course at the time I didn't know it was that and had no idea about LOA. I just called it "fantasizing".  :P But I've had some interesting things happen now when I look back on it that could be LOA in action.

There was one rock star in a famous English band I used to visualize about regularly. I created mini- movies in my head about being in a relationship with him. It felt so real that I had to write them down. After about 8 years I actually had the chance to meet this guy. It was great of course, but the weird thing was the way he responded to me. He kept looking at me like he knew me and I noticed him staring a lot even when he was mobbed by fans. He was so nice to me. This happened twice when I met him. I think LOA had something to do with his reaction to me. Now I'm hoping I get a third chance and REALLY put LOA to work!  8)

Absolutely fun and why not? Who knows what, or who might show up?  :P

Years ago I used to fantasize about the singer in a rock band that I liked, -well, still like, and it felt wonderful! So sexy, that man! :) And I got to meet him twice, once by accident at a cafe in Copenhagen, him and the entire band was there with gfs and babies, one early morning the same day they were having the concert, which I had tickets for. I got autographs, and felt like a trembling teenage fangirl, spilled coffee all over me haha...they were all nice and friendly. Next time I met him was a year or so later, also by coincidence, after the concert, in a bar I just happened to stop by with some friends. Half the band was there and woohoo, -he bought me a tequila!

I also had a small crush on Mr.Darcy! ;) Having watched the tv-series Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth, over and over again, I was absolutely convinced this was the man of my dreams, not Colin himself, but the character Mr.Darcy. I think a lot of women can agree with me on that. So the guy I fell in love with last year had a lot of similarities with him, looks and all.

Wow, have fun with this one, Scheherezade! ;)

This is really interesting but can I just say that yes you can attract the specific celeb- well person, because celebs are people too.
Genuinely people meet their soul mates in the most bizarre of circumstances anyway.

I used to visualize about loads of celebs when I was younger, just like other girls, kiss their posters, call myself their girlfriend, played out mini movies in my head!!

I'm currently attracting a career but its always nice to drift off to sleep thinking about being with a man (or woman) and I have a specific celebrity I am going to attract a relationship with. He is 16 years my senior and a different race but this has been a very mature decision on my part as his qualities, beliefs, character and mind matches mine perfectly. Knowing about LOA I can visualize with something no other girl will use: Intent. The Universe knows I intend HIM and not someone like him.

Its usually the people who were laughed at about their intentions and dreams, that chose to defy everyone and kept their belief and in the end these people got the last laugh. I dont believe anything is impossible.

My biggest inspiration was Nick Cannon. He talked his relationship with Mariah Carey into reality. They too, are different races and theres a big age gap between them. If you know someone specific is for you then go for it. As long as your able to differentiate the difference between a celeb crush and a potential life partner!

That is interesting. Perhaps he recognized you from the astral plane... or something. LOL.

I used to have those fantasies, too. My friend and I even wrote stories about ourselves with our celebs of choice. Nothing ever came of it.

OMG, that's amazing! Looks like a bit of fantasizing can have a bigger effect that we expect. :D

Ooh, good luck attracting him! You've kind of inspired me to consider becoming just a little more specific with my intention. I, too, am focused more on my career right now. The nice thing about it is that I want to become an actress, and the celeb in question is an actor, so he also fits into my visualizations about my career. I sometimes see myself working with him, and so on.

Who knows, right?

I'm glad I inspired you!

I mean think about it- how people reacted to the world being round, or men flying one day. Things are only impossible if you believe them to be. Some celebs today have boyfriend/girlfriends who they have met in ordinary circumstances who aren't celebrities themselves.

I too want to get in the same industry as the celeb I'm trying to attract- well, the person I'm trying to attract (makes it even more believe to me to refer to him as a person) and I know I have big dreams and aspirations but I'm glad because I now know that I can make it all a reality and no limiting beliefs are going to stop me!!

When I was younger I use to visualize Pamela Anderson, hopefully she shows up soon, or il take someone similar. I’m pretty open to either option  :o

Based on the comments this topic has received, I'd say both options are a possibility. :D
