I am starting to feel sceptical about the whole ''attracting a specific person thing''. There were some people that did come back in my life after letting go but there were others that never did.. and I am getting very confused here.I can recall 2 ex boyfriends that I did want and then let go and practically moved on and I never heard from them,why? I don't want them now,of course, but I am curious,why didn't they come back? On the other hand,there were some who actually did come back but I didn't want them anymore.If LOA works every time I can't understand why it didn't work those times..

I think the circumstances of the break up determine whether or not you can attract a specific person.  I have seen several people attract specific persons and others found through their journey that they really weren't with the right person.  It takes time to figure that out.

Sometimes we want what we think we want back b/c the feeling of loss is too great to bare.  However, once you get through that feeling of loss, you are able to take a good look and see what it is that you really want and need.

so basically you CAN'T attract a specific person..because he is not the right one.You can meet mr right when you're 60,that means LOA will never work on attracting a person till then???

and if something else determines what you can attract or not,that means there is no LAW because laws work every time no matter what the circumstances are,that is why it is called LAW.

Well it's hard to say why, since we don't know the whole situation. Only you know for sure.  I know in my experience, the ones that never came back were the ones I never fully cared about.  I've had one boyfriend that I wanted so badly to come back after we broke up, then I let go and moved on (with the guy I'm in love with now) and he never came back. It's been about 4-5 years and last I heard he got married.  When I look back on the situation, I realize that I never loved him and the only reason I wanted him back was because I was afraid of being alone.  My feelings towards him were intense and I felt a lot of pain after the break up, but deep down inside I knew he wasn't the sort of guy I wanted to be with.

I'm not sure where you got that age from. I think you can meet Mr. Right at anytime, it just depends on whether or not you're ready for him. I know that in my situation, as much I'd like to be with my guy, I'm just not ready. There's a lot of stuff that I need/want to work through. I'd like to be financially independent, able to move closer to him, have the ability to have a rich social life outside of him (cause when I move I won't know anyone there)...etc.  Yet despite not being ready for him, I did attract him back into my life.

So yeah, you can attract a specific person, (like the article Ankur wrote on this site's blog) but attracting a specific person means that you become a match to them. So if you're not ready or are lacking things that he is looking for or he's not ready and is lacking things you are looking for, it's going to take a little longer for the connection to happen.

At least that's what I've been telling myself.

Very well said Tereza There are really times no matter how positive we are and we want one specific person to be a part of our life for the rest of our lives, still one choose not to be part of our life. Maybe that specific person is not the person our heart so desires, the person can not contribute to our being happy and feel loved. This is why, it is very important to let go - let go of the feelings of fears and doubts, for the Universe will never give us something, someone less than we deserve. Yes, there are times we meet the wrong persons, but they are designed to make us stronger and let us know with so much vividness and clarity what we do want

In addition, it is a proven fact that positive thoughts/feelings have stronger frequencies than negative thoughts/feelings.

It's what I've known only through my intuition so far, that positivity has to defeat negativity when they come in contact.... you mean stronger frequencies in what way?

sunshinee, how do u know that these boyfriends wont come back after all? have u reached the end of your life? i think not...just because they havent come back yet, that doesnt mean that they wont in some point....timing is everything
 
To me is absolutely possible to attract specific ppl, and specific things in general. Either u can attarct everything....or nothing

Everything has frequency, a chair, a light, the wind etc.  It is all energy vibrating at a different frequency.  Thoughts have their own range of frequency, with negative thoughts at a lower scale and positive ones at a higher one.

Relationships should always be based on desire and not need; because once a person no longer has a need for their mate, why stay in a relationship? So I think what you meant to say was that your ex may come back after all, but you no longer have a desire for him?

You know I was with my ex husband for 24 years out of need, and when he could no longer give me what I needed, I left him. Now some may say that was really cruel of me to abandon him, but I was miserable the whole 24 years we were together. I married him out of need to get away from my controlling parents. I loved my ex but I never really liked him or respected him and he never really liked or respected me either. Also I don't think I loved myself so I didn't know how to love my ex husband.

But anyway, I don't need my boyfriend Ken; I want my boyfriend Ken. BIG DIFFERENCE and the difference that will make this relationship work much  better than my marriage did!

You are right,I don't need neither want some of my exes.I just don't have the desire now but once I had it and they never came after letting go( that is what I meant ) Now I want to attract a particular person who is not one of my exes but still we have history with that person. The thing that was blocking me is that some people from the past that I wanted never came back after desiring them and letting go,that's my biggest fear/doubt that it can happen the same thing here.. I just don't understand why it didn't work with those from the past-I really wantED them to come back but they never did (even after letting them go) When I look back then I see that it didn't work and I just cannot explain to myself why. Of course,there were people who did come back and that's the confusing part.Why did it work with some,and not with others?

Keep in mind the Universe will never give you less than what you ask for.  So be VERY specific when asking for what you want.  When we fall for certain individuals, we find ourselves suddenly willing to compromise on things that, when we are not emotional involved, there is no chance in hell would compromise on.  That could be why those others did not come back. 

Also, you may have had limiting beliefs that you weren't aware of.  Make sense?

When I think of time delays, I often think that I am doing something wrong.  I am not in alignment etc, otherwise would it not manifest quick. .  I have heard of people who manifest quick, while the others must be doing something wrong(resistance etc).
