Hello. I need some advice on this, I am back in contact with that person, (I initiated contact and it seems that i do every time), and i am really happy about that so far, but the problem i'm having is that from time to time through out my day, i get a very painful overwhelming feeling in my chest. Fear, doubt, worry. I try not to, but it just comes sometimes. I know what i am worried about, and i do my best to get myself out of that stage, sometimes it works other times it doesn't. So what do you think i should do? I'm sick of feeling like this. Fear, doubt, worry. It makes me want to vomit. It's so overwhelming.

Stop talking about, stop paying attention to it, stop feeling bad for feeling bad, stop making it the biggest issue in your life.

When it comes up, notice it, then do something else, think of something else, FOCUS on something else.
Meditate, play a game, text a friend (not to complain), eat something you love, watch a good show, look around you think about the things you see, make a list of things you love, make a list of your desires then write about them as if you already have them, whatever, anything, just get happy, reach to feel better, reach to feel hopeful AND in time (depending on how commited you are to doing the above) you WILL have that bad feeling less and less and less frequent and for less amounts of time and you WILL have good feelings more and more and you WILL discover happy thoughts you never had before and you will have moments of bliss as if they came from nowhere and the more happy you are they bigger the inspiration you will have to actions that WILL lead to those desires manifesting.

Listen I've been  on this forum for about 2 1/2- 3 months. I read everything. I've watched the secret I've watched videos with abraham hicks, Alot of videos.....

And for a while I was still acting like a victim and whining "oh why" "why do I still feel bad" "why dont I have anything" blah blah blah then one day I FINALLY listened to the SAME thing everyones been saying yet not many people are doing. YOURE SUPPOSED TO FEEL GOOD, YOURE SUPPOSED TO FEEL THE JOY YOU WOULD FEEL AS IF YOU ALREADY HAD YOUR DESIRES IN ORDER FOR THE LAW OF ATTRACTION TO PRESENT THEM< YOURE SUPPOSED TO GET HAPPY!

Thats why gratitude is such a big part, when you feel grateful you feel glad, sometimes joyful, whatever its a good feeling.
I prefer to make lists of things I love and things I appreciate, either way it FEELS GOOD.
Point being FEEL GOOD.

If you had your ideal body, if you had your ideal man, if you had your ideal financial abundance, if you had your ideal lifestyle would you be getting those doubts and fears and feeling like throwing up? No.

so how do you do it? FEEL it, figure out how to trick your brain into believing and trick your body into feeling that all that stuff is happening Right Now. And BY LAW it then MUST and WILL show.

Have you tried scripting? writing about scenarios you would love as if they are happening now? That is a GREAT FUN exercise. Or a magical creation box? snipping out pictures from magazines of experiences and products you would love to have and placig them in a box. I do something similar but have a folder in my comp saved and I just surf the web and save pictures of things and save them into that folder.

The point is get happy. Alot of the time Inspired Action is a big part of manifestation, you will not be able to feel that inspired action if you are focusing on wanting to throw up, but if youre relaxed and peacful and happy and joyous it will hit you like a ton of bricks.

I AM SO SO SO SO SO SO HAPPY, I used to want to kill myself! I used to cry and cry and cry, I was in such a sickening miserable place. But I decided to finally man up, listen and DO the advice I so often read about, I made feeling good my priority, I focused on anything that felt good, I scripted for the joy of it, I fell in love with myself and now, I have an online journal and looking back at it, its day after day, paragraph after paragraph of nothing but pure bliss and love, I will just be sitting or doing something and out of nowhere this immense  feeling of peace and bliss will just overcome me, I get these amazing ideas, I feel when the inspired action is calling me, I find myself manifesting things by accident, good things but still accidental, thats how powerful Ive become, I think of something random for like a minute, in an hour I'm seeing it all over the place, and deliberate manifestions, oh those are the best~! when I manifest something that I KNOW I did all on my own through my thoughts and feelings, oh so much fun!

Right now you seem to be in that transitional stage where you were thinking bad feeling thoughts for a while and youve been focusing on them for a while, that doesnt mean you need to clean up years of your vibration that means you habitually focus on what doesnt feel good. Dont fight them, again that would just be continuing to focus on them, whether its good or bad attention you give them, just giving them attention means you are acknowledging them and making them an issue and LOA is saying "heres more of them!"
dont avoid them, just notice them! who cares, notice them then SHIFT YOUR FOCUS, and the more you focus on good feeling thoughts the more LOA will say "ok heres more!" and you WILL flip and then will be the time when you predominately think good feeling thoughts and feel good and it will just get better and better and better....

I used to get this, all the time. The good news is, I know how to get rid of it too!!!

Something a lot of people don't know: the mind and body are connected, and the connection goes both ways. So, when you feel bad, you slouch, hunch your shoulders, start breathing shallowly, etc. BUT, if you slouch, hunch your shoulders, breathe shallowly etc (as can happen when we become accustomed to sitting in front of a computer for extended periods, for example), you will feel bad, even without a specific emotional reason to feel bad. Sometimes you will feel bad just because of what your body is doing, and then your mind has to look for reasons to explain why you are feeling that way, and you create a vicious circle.

I know I recommend this for everything, but this was actually where I started with meditation - to get rid of feelings of fear, dread, overwhelment - a deep anxiety in my chest, that I didn't know the source of (I thought at the time that it must be fear of death. It started after my father died, and although I had no conscious fears about death, I couldn't think of any other explanation. But then years went by and the feelings didn't go away, so...)

So: Step one: Meditate. Concentrate on your breathing - breathing deeply can reduce the anxiety sometimes just on its own. So, you get into a relaxed position (I actually lie down, even though all the books tell you not to - their reasoning is that you might get too relaxed and fall asleep, but there's no risk of that with me, so I just go for that as it's most comfortable for me), and then you breathe deeply to a count of four. Make sure your are drawing your diaphragm down, so that your belly begins to expand at the beginning of the breath. Your belly should rise before your chest does (note: of course air doesn't go into your belly, but it means that your diaphragm is being drawn down. Watch a baby sleeping peacefully or a cat - they both breathe this way). then exhale to a count of four, starting with the belly and working your way up. I used to have a great book with all sorts of breathing exercises in it. If I can find it, I will come back on and post the title.

Very often the above is all you need to relieve the feeling of tension, anxiety, dread. But, if it is still there, you may notice some tightness somewhere in your body - very often in the shoulders and chest. Be aware of your body and where any tension is, and then consciously relax it.

If you go to a yoga class, very often it will end with a sequential relaxation of every body part, and you may find this helpful in terms of general body awareness and determining where there is tension in your body. If you've never done it before, you do this lying down, with your eyes closed. You start by putting your awareness in your feet - you lift your legs, point the toes, scrunch them tight, then hold it for several seconds - then suddenly relax and let them drop to the floor. Your work your way up your body doing this - calves, thighs, buttocks, stomach, chest, shoulders (which you scrunch up towards your ears), upper arms, lower arms, hands (which you ball into fists), then finally the face.

The next step is to be aware of your posture throughout the day. This sounds so stupid, I'm sure, but it really does make a difference. Shoulders back and down, so that the points at the bottoms of your shoulder blades are drawn together. Spine aligned, so that your breathing is not impeded. And be aware of your breathing throughout the day, make sure you are breathing deeply and evenly, not shallowly. Shallow breaths allow carbon dioxide to build up in the lower halves of your lungs, and this triggers a natural sense of anxiety, and can even develop into a full-blown panic attack. so, breathe deeply, from the diaphragm, and exhale fully. And relax your muscles, and your mind will follow!

Hope this helps - try it, however skeptical you may be - it really does make a huge difference!

Hi MermaidWife,

As lashark and Ginny said, you need to raise your positive vibration. We all have been through this phase. And the only way we found out of it is by raising the positive vibration and shifting our focus. When we replace our mind with positive thoughts, we would not bother about other petty disturbing things in life.

Yes, talking to friends is a very good help. One more thing you can do is to read the success stories in the forum :) It will make you feel good.

Best Regards,
Shrikanya

Thank you for the very helpful replies and suggestions i will do them next time. I wished i had read this earlier though. I royal screwed up yesterday. But that will be a different post. However I wouldn't say I carry alot of negativity around with me. I can sleep off 90% of it and my these bad feelings don't even last 30 minutes, however i just posted this because i feel fine most of the time but suddenly it hits me like a min-panic attack out of nowhere. Unwarrented and triggered by absolutely nothing. So that's why. But yes i shall focus on feeling good to mute these eruptuptions and disruptions of my day.

MermaidWife, you must have just needed to express how you were feeling at the time and sometimes that feeling can be overwhelming.  You just needed the release by sharing...(love your avatar btw)

Unwarrented and triggered by absolutely nothing.
first mermaid its good to hear you are feeling better.  just wanted to point out, and i got this from a behavioral theripist when i was trying to find a way to deal with anxiety.  There is something that is triggering it.  Something in your subconcious that you are either triggering conciously through some sort of action or thought, or its something bugging you enough that your subconscious is throwing it at you to deal with and get yourself to a happier positive place.  So like has been posted above, dont beat yourself up about it, when it happens let it happen.  Cry, pout and punch a pillow if it gets it out.  I have noticed that like you did here, posting or writing a pm about it often helps to get out part of the energy and allows your mind to start to ease up to deal with it.
Keep as positive as you can.  If you have the intention of being positive you will be.  Might bump the toe once in awhile but dont let it ruin your day.

Thankyou, thank you thank you so much. I said i was fine but i'm crying right now. I been raised to be stoic in way and this forum is actually the first time i've reached out to people asking for personal and emotional help; revealed my self so completely. So That's why my emotions are probably unstable from being bottled up. But i don't post here often, I read here often though and do my best to deal with things on my own or with the helpful advise of a select few friends. But i lost a friend that way; i kept coming to her with my problems between me and him, and one day she was tired of it and so she dropped my friendship. I don't blame her though. It when I am a my wits end, where i feel so lost that i actually do post. I'm so very grateful for this communiy, 2thetop, MiaVictoria both your words made me cry. A mixture of relief, and sorrow, and bottled feelings.

Today is one of those days where i feel lost and I guess i lied in my new post (http://www.powerlawofattraction.com/forum/6/royally-screwing-up-advise-needed-please) I guess i'm not okay. :/

Ah oddly crying makes you feel better. >___>

"Nothing is ever born out of fear. Love gives birth, love is creative; fear is impotent.

Fear is utterly impotent. It has never created anything. It cannot create; it is not. But it can destroy your whole life, it can surround you like a dark, dark cloud, it can exploit all your energies. It will not allow you to move into any deep experience of beauty, poetry, love, joy, celebration, meditation. No, it will keep you just on the surface because it can exist only on the surface. It is a ripple on the surface.

Fear is just the opposite of love. In love one expands, in fear one shrinks. In fear one becomes closed, in love one opens. In fear one doubts, in love one trusts. In fear one is left lonely, in love one disappears."

Osho

I know how it feels to have everything bottled up until that moment when you feel it will implode inside of you and tear you to pieces.  Release the fear (yoga, exercise, dancing - it also raises your serotonin levels) , heal yourself ( tried the Hoʻoponopono ?) and empower yourself with faith, hope, love.. You are a beautiful being composed of light and love and everything else is just an illusion, a lie. Fears are inside the mind and there is so much more then the mind and you are not what you are thinking, you are so much more then that.

There is a great book by one of the people featured in the Secret - it's called the Breakthrough Experience by John Demartini and it's fantastic with lots of good exercises which have a really empowering effect..

I read somewhere on this forum that the first thing you need to do is take back the power you have given to others and realize that it's you who has it..

Light&love..

Dear MermaidWife,

Even those who have successfully implemented LOA and have got its benefits slip sometimes. 2thetop said the right thing. You have to let your negativity out. You have to let it go out of your system. If you are trying to suppress it, it will resurface at the most unexpected time. Then it is very painful. These feelings will follow you wherever you go.

Best part is to replace those feelings with good feelings. But the change has to come from our core beliefs. Its okay to cry out sometimes. :)

We all go through this phase but the fact that life could be better drives us :)

Best regards,
Shrikanya

Something else to think about here.  You have all these emotions that you have been pushing down and bottling up for years.  Now think of a glass of water well say about 3/4 full.  Put some red dye in the water.  now take a pitcher of clean water and pour it in the glass.  the red water is coming out and being replaced with clean fresh water right?  its kinda like that with bottled emotions at times.  as we replace them with positive emotions and positive thoughts, we get this over flow of emotion that needs to go some wehre.  being we are replacing those emotions, telling ourselves we want to get rid of them and replace them with fresh new emotions,  we start to push them out as the new emotions set in.  I have experienced this myself.  I hope that helps some.  Atleast help you figure out why they keep coming up.  You might notice too, theyre very strong at times.  Like has been said time and time again.  Dont fight it, let it flow and let it go.

I tried out a method that has given me good results recently regarding this issue and wanted to share..

Every time I would try to get rid of negative beliefs and focus on the good things I wasn't able to because my fears would manifest on the physical level as anxiety and been having troubles with this a lot because in order to manifest something the body, the mind and the emotional body need to work as one like 3 horses pulling a chariot in the direction you want them too, they would never reach the desired destination if every horse pulls on the different side (I've seen this in a documentary that explains the Secret on a deeper level , it's called the Great Work).

So in order to, kind of, heal myself when I get this tense, panicky, anxious feeling and fears I started to work with chakras, mainly the Anahata chakra located near the heart that governs our emotions. I lie down, relax, visualize the chakra and breathe into it, put all on my focus on this area and see it radiate and glow..

Qualities of this chakra  - Divine/unconditional love, forgiveness, compassion, understanding, balance, group consciousness, oneness with life, acceptance, peace, openness, harmony, contentment

Negative Qualities - Repression of love, emotional instability, out of balance, heart problems, circulation problems.

Psychological states associated with the heart center are transition, disorientation, crisis, euphoria, extreme swings between ecstasy, and despair, feelings of loss, separation, numbness, extreme emotional sensitivity, and panic.

Hope this helps.

Blessings
