Small success with LOA and will continue doing it

I have come across the Law of Attraction last month when my ex ended our relationship with me.  After knowing about the LOA, I realized how important it is to change my way of thinking because I attracted alot of the results in my life due to the way I think.  Right before the break up, I was needy and desperate and worried that he would break up with me and it did happen because I was attracting it! So I started practicing the LOA by:

1) Keeping a gratitude journal
2) Feeling positive and happy everyday (this is a little difficult as there are things that happen in life that can make you negative and unhappy)
3) Stopped complaining about unhappy things
4) Stopped gossipping about other people

After about two weeks of doing all of the above, I saw him at my office (he was an ex colleague).  I texted him afterwards and we met up at the airport the next day as we were both flying away.  We had a great time catching up and he invited me to visit him (he is studying in another country).  Here once again I saw the power of LOA because I had been thinking about visiting him and he wasn't into the idea, and when I totally forgot about it, he invites me to visit him!  And I did go and visit him and we had a great time spending the whole day together.  He even said "I am going to hold your hand" and held my hand, but we didn't get back together during this trip because I think I was still too desperate in wanting him back. 

So now I am going to concentrate on myself and keep using the LOA.  I am working on "letting go" as I believe this is an important process in manifesting what you desire.   I believe I can do this and he will come back to me!!

you just listed all the points which are important and see- he came a step towards you, so thats a big sign and i feel its not over between you and him....

have you heard of visionboard or magical creation box? these works miracles for me.... just browse the forum and have fun and keep this way----- it seems to be soo right

Yes, I have heard of the vision board and made one with all the things I want.  I have put pictures of us on the board and will smile when I look at it each day (but I wonder if this is helping me in the "letting go" process?).

Congratulations!!!!! Sounds like you are doing really well and have grasped the Law of Attraction very quickly.  I would say to keep doing what you are doing and you will continue to see many more great results and manifestations.

the pooint is when looking at it, just to feel that happy feeling when you get it one day, not focussing on "when" "how" or if you are having a doubtful day.
as for me, i am doing it before my nightsleep, put the board in front of me, listening to theta waves and just feeling happy to look at my board, reading the affirmations on it- one by one and outloud..... i think its the best way to bring that desire into my subconscious. but thats just me

Thank you so much!  The LOA is indeed amazing.  I was watching the Larry King show yesterday which was talking about the secret, and one audience was asking what to do when someone around you opposes to what you want to manifest.  And one of the experts said that if you truly believe in what you want to manifest, then the LOA will work itself and turn these people into supporting you.  And this really did happen to me!  Before I knew about the LOA, all my friends were really negative towards my ex and everyone said I deserved better.  But since I started using the LOA, I see my friends' attitude have changed and I think it's because they see me being more confident and happy about myself.  Some of my friends even say that they see us getting back together very soon and are supportive!!  The LOA does work when you TRULY ask, believe and receive!

I'm new to the forum but I have been working on how to be positive for over a year and a half (after the random brutal murder of my 8 year old nephew while he was riding bikes at a country club with his mother twin and older brother). It's not necessary to feel happy all day. It's natural to have feelings of sadness and negativity just don't wallow in them. Here are some strategys to uplift your spirits the first comes from my 96 yr old grandmother- try to do something nice for someone everyday and hope that it's enough. This doesn't have to be anything bigjust something like maybe  bringing their garbage can in from the street on trash day. The next is to read through your gratitude journal mine lists the big things like friends and family to the little things like ice, Diet Dr Pepper (my caffine addiction), insulation, toilet paper, ect. I alsohave a gratitude shell attached to my key chain (similiar to the gratitude stones discussed in the secret) I use it to remind me to be thankful whenever I notice it. If these don't help me and I can't get out of my sadness I talk to someone about what I'm feeling. I know it's counterintuitive to LOA to talk about negative feelings but it's extremely important for you to release them and not let them build. Plus when your done you can write it in your gratitude journal (I'm so happy and grateful I can talk to x about my feeling and release them) Gradually it will get easier to flip negatives to positives. If you still have sadness or grief it's OK don't add feeling guilty about having these emotions to the negative mix, simply experience the emotions and then be grateful that this experience has equipped you with the capacity to more fully embrace the joys and positives life isgiving you.

I absolutely agree with b happy.  Whenever I feel negative or unhappy, I would think about something good about the person (if it's someone that made me have that minus thought) or something that would cheer me up.  If the feeling really gets to me, I would talk about it with someone, but ONLY  to someone I know that will give me a positive response.

canhdong90 - Yes, I do image about us being together again.  But I find it I don't do it more often than I used to do it as I am making progress in letting go.  I do talk to him daily or every other day.  I used to be upset when he doesn't reply or reply to me slowly, but now I find myself not to care so much anymore.  I still love him very much but I find that letting go and not dwelling about it is an important process in LOA.  Best of luck to you!!!
