Responding to the signs

When it comes to signs I get my fair share. Usually if I ask for a sign, I don't even need to try and 'look' for them, they just happen straight away. Today I asked the Universe if I should text the guy I'm dating (he's my ex but I'm not calling him that anymore). I texted him two days ago and he responded but after my second text he ignored me but I didn't make a fuss of it, I just let it go. Since then, I have been missing him a little as it's been a week since I saw him last. So that's when I decided to ask the Universe to give me a sign to whether it was a good idea to text him "Hey, how's your new job? Ring me?" I got a sign straight away. I panicked though for some reason, even though I knew it was a sign and asked again a few minutes later. Again, another even better sign appeared and AGAIN I couldn't quite believe it, even though it felt so right. Embarrasingly, I asked again and once more the same sign appeared (sorry about not revealing what the sign is, just want to keep it private) and now here I am writing to you guys. I feel stupid, why can't I just trust the Universe and respond? The signs were very positive to me and I know the Universe was telling me it's okay to text him. I mean why am I getting so worked up about a stupid text in the first place? I've already attracted him back, so why am I not responding to the signs even though I can clearly feel that they're for me?

It sounds like your hesitation is because you still have doubts. I personally would not follow the signs unless I felt GOOD about contacting him. Otherwise you might negatively influence the situation with your doubts/fears... Just my two cents, though.

Hmm, good point. I don't feel good exactly but I don't feel bad. I just don't want him to ignore me, but who does really. How can I get myself into a more relaxed state to contact him?

Perhaps you could try visualization? See yourself sending the text and getting back a response, and getting excited about it.

Okay. I visualize best when I'm listening to binaural beats or buddhist mantras, but i'd like something new to listen to. Do you have any suggestions?

Have you tried making a playlist specific to your desire? Try to think of some songs that sum up what you would like to experience and add them. It might be fun, and could even add power to your intention while helping you "let go" because you're focused on creating your playlist and having fun with it. I haven't done this yet, but I'm planning on it. My favorite love visualization song is "I Get Weak" by Belinda Carlisle. A cheesy song, but it captures exactly what it is I love about being in love.

My opinion is that you should trust yourself, not the Universe. The Universe never fails to deliver. It is reflecting back to you whatever you are feeling, good or bad. I don't think the universe will ever tell you if it is a good or bad decision, you are the one responsible to tell the universe it was a good decision and eventually get the result in your reality.
You are asking for signs and you are getting them, because you believe you will get them and this is the universe`s answer to you; but it is not about the signs, it is about you not trusting yourself, giving your power away.

I kind of agree with BeHappy.  I think it's unwise to ask for signs in general.  Because, as BeHappy pointed out, asking for a sign is putting out an intention that will be manifested.  Instead, I think you should be asking yourself these questions and trusting your intuition.  As for signs, for me, I never ask for them.  Instead, when I see something that I perceive as a sign (specific signs are different for everybody), I simply am grateful for them and take them to mean I'm on track.

Your intuition is always your best resource and learning to tap into it can be very powerful.

To be honest, I think your hesitation to contact him is your intuition talking to you and you should maybe think about why that is.  Only you can really figure out what the right thing to do for you is.
