Neurolinguistic Programming

Just curious.  Has anyone used Neurolinguistic Programming to influence their mate?  Have you had any success with it?

I have used it in the past.  Mostly with emails and I have had success with it.  I think it definitely chipped away at resistance and negative thoughts.  I have not used it lately but I think I will be brushing up not just for romantic relationships but for all of my dealings.

I have used embedded commands...for instance slightly changing the fonts...

I was waiting for the rain to come.  To me is taking forever.  Now you don't want it to be that obvious...play with size and font...just enough for the subconscious to register it.

Using the magic words like Imagine and Now...

Imagine how nice it would be to do nothing but lounge on the beach all day. Now is the time that we should spend together.

Using the senses to enhance states.

Do you remember the fourth of July that we spent together?  Imagine what it was like holding me tight? I know you can feel my body against yours.  The smell of my perfume.  The sound and the sights on the fireworks exploding in the sky over the water.  Remember the sound of all the people laughing and having such a good town. 

In that paragraph we have Smell, Touch, Sight, and Sound.  We also have Imagine....and the REMEMBER works as a command...the reader will be taken back to that time.

These work especially well for men...men are sensual (as in they need their senses tickled to make an emotional connection). 

Some may find this technique controversial but I believe it works..my guy is the most pacifist type of guy but he is competitive with other men.  He tries to not let it show but it comes out in very subtle ways.  Some men show their competitiveness with sports, the amount of women they can get, money, etc.  My guy shows his with the car that he drives.  I was able to find him a certain car in a neighboring state..it's actually a wild story..lots of synchonicities and attractions but the ending is not too happy...anyway..I found the car.  The thing about this car is that the year it came out there were only 19 of those cars sold in the US.  That really fed into his male competitive streak.  Unfortunately when he went to pick it up he was in a wreck within 15 minutes.  I also think that was the universes doing but I won't get into that on the open board.  The point is that I was able to use his competitive streak to help him achieve a goal and by doing that I was also forming a team...a conspiracy of two with him.

Can you PM some of the background and what your guy is like? I'll try to give you some tips that you can use.  How long were you together and what kind of breakup was it?  There has to be some level of trust for it to be most effective.   It still is possible but before you can start the NLP you would have to establish some type of new emotional connection as a lead in.

oooh could you give some more examples about how to embed it in an email. I am interested in NLP but hadn't considered it for emails. I'm assuming - I can overcome any idea that it is a bit manipulative because - it's not going to make someone do something they don't want more encourage something they already want???

So if I was to want someone to visit me ( I know they want to but circs are difficult and it is constantly I want to) how would I make it seem irresistible?

Then again would I not be wondering if I made them do something and not knowing if they would have done this without my input/ meddling/ jiggery pokery?

I think of it as a marketing tool.   You may get the person to "try the product" but it is going to be up to you ..the real you...to make the person want to purchase it.  I think of it as a way to persuade a person and to be able to communicate with them that talks to their soul. 

As for worry about if they would have or not..think of it like this...If you want someone to visit you..you say please .  Do you worry about the morality of saying please.  No ..saying please is seen as being polite.  The person will still have free will but they may process the request a bit differently and will see benefits that they may miss from just saying.  Come see me.  You want to get that person in a state where they are actively remember how much fun they have with you...take them back to a time that the two of you were together.  Use the senses so that image is clear in their head and they want to recreate that time. 

Give me a little background and I'll try to help you with getting that person to visit you...you can pm me...

Remember to continue to be detached from the outcome.  You don't want to rely on this because it can negate the letting go principle that is discussed on here.  If you are inspired to contact them then use this as a new way to communicate.

Thanks I will PM you. I will be as detached as I am now - ie not very lol but I just quite fancy it - I might use it at work too. I'm just thinking it's worth a try and what's the worse that can happen?

Conversational Hypnosis in email NLP embedded commands

I wonder if this may be effective because I think the act of reading the email on a computer screen brings about a trance state.  I think that why when you videotape a tv or computer screen ..you can see it flicking or scrolling down..

Thanks - I'd seen that on Youtube. It made me laugh as I was wondering how I could incorporate drive to X into an email in a natural way alongside making the font bigger or italicized and not get caught out doing it.

LOL..I know right...heheh.  I used the basic premise and just used the tips that I got from another book and incorporated them into the tips I sent you in the PM.  Have you seen some of Derren Brown's videos?  I don't know how I feel about them...lol.  I do like the one with Simon Pegg and the BMX bike..and the one with the ad execs.  Now that one got me interested in how what we see in our environment gets into our subconscious.  That's why I also believe that if we leave something at our partners home and after a break up they keep it then they have not given up on us fully...Everytime they see it they are processing it subconsciously and if the feeling was negative..they would toss it or send it back to us.

Yes, I have seen Derren Brown - how do I feel about him? The man's a god. I love Derren love love love him lol. I've seen him live several times and all his tv stuff.  The Simon Pegg thing was excellent - as was the heist which took the whole planting into the subconscious to the zinth.

LOL...can you imagine being married to Brown.  It would be a total mind trip...but of course I'm sure he's quite ethical and would never use his uncanny mental abilities to be a rake...
