To Sweet Spirit and Lise ~ I have been in your shoes and was so sure I had found "the one". My gut told me so. I stuck it out for two years. Don't get me wrong, he was successful, kind, gorgeous but I allowed him to put me second (third/fourth) to EVERYTHING. I thought he was the best I could get. I was willing to live on his schedule. Jump whenever he asked. Ultimately, pathetic. Then I realized that to want someone like him was ultimately lacking respect for myself. We get to a certain age (I am 37) and we start to panic. "Are we always going to be alone?" That fear will make us do and feel things that just aren't logical. Finally I had to muster ALL the courage I had and completely cut all ties. It sucked, it hurt but it was ultimately for the best. I ended up focusing on me. Looking at what has made me who I am. Are there things about myself I can improve? After about a year of being happily single, I found the love of my life. We are yin and yang. We are zen. I realized after a few months into our relationship, he had everything I had always been passionate about in a mate (good and bad). However, with LOA the bad has changed to good.

I share this with you, not to say this is what you should do. I share this with you b/c you two deserve a life a happiness and thought sharing my story might help.

How do you know that it's your gut feeling & not just any feeling that would go away soon?Before I can't help nut listen to people,most of them tell me,find another guy who truly deserves you,there are many fishes in the ocean,you're just wasting your time keeping your hopes up on Andrew.So what I did was I posted in my fb wall that I was looking for any Filipino-Chinese guy between the ages of 23-33.Then after awhile,I stopped the search because in my heart I felt that it wasn't just any Filipino-Chinese guy but it is Andrew.Is this my gut feeling?I don't know how to tell.Please share your thoughts.Thanks!

It's difficult for me to explain - for me I think sometimes - it's just a sense that something is right or wrong when logic and reason suggest the opposite.

I once knew someone and the first time I met her, I just instinctively felt their was something "not right" about her. I couldn't explain it. She appeared to be very ncie and was always pleasant to me and was quite hard working and after a while - I thought I'd misjudged her - not that I'd ever said anything to her. She was popular and outgoing and there was nothing to suggest anything wrong with her. Anyway, a while after I knew her, she was arrested for something - I won't say what and it wasn't the crime itself that I disliked but the level of deciet involved. That is quite an extreme example.

On an ordinary level - it's often just a feeling not to do something - when I haven't got a reason not to - just a feeling it wouldn't be advisable and then finding out I was right.

More often than not - I've felt it - in relation to people and to do with trust. I was once going out with someone who seemed great. He was very nice to me, got on with my friends, worked hard, ect ect but I felt again there was something not quite right - but I put it down to him being more into me then i was him . I did like him but I knew he wasn't the one. Anyway, it turned out he had lied about something - iwhat he had lied about - had he have not lied about it wouldn't have bothered me. Finding out he had lied repeatedly and for no reason - did bother me. It was like I knew from instinct there was something.

@Lise, I have been following this topic that you posted but only have the courage to write a reply on this and will share what I think of the situation. After my breakup with my ex last May, it was the saddest experience I ever had on my past relationships and I promised to myself not to have any other failure again in my relationship. Then the move The Secret landed in my hands, and to top it all, I found this forum, reading lots of materials about relationships and LOA. One story that inspired me was a story of a woman who was so sad after all her successes in her life, when she hit the bottom part that she said, there is no other way but up. Instead of blaming others, any outside forces for her circumstances, she worked on her inner self, spoiling herself and loving and respecting herself more. And just barely eight months, she was already engaged. My message is, work on yourself more, take responsibility of your actions and love yourself above anything else. You deserve to have all the best of love, as we all are. Let him go, completely let him go and if the circumstances favor you and him for the rest of your lives, then he is indeed for you. Put yourself on the pedestal because you deserve to be

Thanks 57 angel. I have or am closest to letting go that I have been in the past. I'm hoping it's not a temp thing.

I was bitterly disappointed that I didn't see him on the day - there were so many things that I had written in my gratitude diary that seemed significant to his message - but I think it was close but not exactly close enough.

We have exchanged a couple of messages since then and I have said I find it too difficult to continue as we were because of my feelings and he says he understands that and won't contact me again even though he doesn't want to lose contact.

At the moment - I still feel that I have a strong feeling that I will be with him. I'm just hoping it's not wishful thinking.

I had a friend in the same situation, and I myself was in one similar. Unless he is a skunk and despicable person, I do believe he is telling you the truth about wanting to be with you. Is this the married guy, I want to be sure that I am correct. He is trying to sort it out. If you can wait, wait, honor yourself thou, if you are miserable then do not. Only you can make that call. Others on here should be telling you that. Go with your gut and heart.

Yes, it is him. I do believe he has always told me the truth - particularly as there has been times that the truth hasn't been so great to hear and he could have told me anything and I wouldn't have actually known or been able to check.

I posted something the other week and said I had a weird good feeling - that something was about to happen but I didn't know what. I think perhaps that it was strong evidence that I could manifest stuff that I had written - it just wasn't quite exact.

There are also a couple of things that indicated that he is thinking that things will change in the future - although I can't quite put my finger on why I think that.

I'm going back to basics - and re reading the secret and the power and really focussing on myself and what I want and what I want to achieve and what I am grateful for. I think I need to do that - and stop the kind of scatter gun approach of a bit of this and bit of that. I've got more of a handle on what things work for me and what I can't quite get into.

I've always written and found it quite cathartic and I feel writing what I want and how I feel and what I'm grateful for works for me.

I like reading about other people's success and what they did to achieve this.

I've also enjoyed the Murphy text about the subconscious mind and find that quite easy and enjoyable to do.

I don't find the vision boarding really does much for me although a pic I had on their of happiness in the palm of your hand appeared for me on another site.

I also love asking for and getting signs - they really give me a lift and a small way of keeping positive. I'm also trying to establish good habits of self talk and phrasing things in a more positve.

When it comes down to it - I love him - I know he loves me - he's told me and I believe him and even before he said - I knew. So whatever happens - I know that.

I am sure you seen my situation a bit, bottom line is that you have to go with your gut. I believe Abe Hicks and the vortex state you push or deal with the resistance to get into the Vortex, I have to read and look at it some more. Do this affirmation:

"I am already healed at the true level of my being and that healing now manifests in my physical world."

I am already talking to _________ at the true level of my being and that now manifests in my physical world."

I am already forgiven myself and ____________, and only think of the positive now and future at the true level of my being and that now manifests in my physical world.

I am already living my vision board at the true level of my being and that now manifests in my physical world.

I am already living that _________ is with me and only me at the level of my being and to the betterment of all concerned and happiness of all concerned and that now manifests in my physical world.

I am already living with _________ in ___________ at the level of my being and now it manifests in my physical world.

I will know all the solutions to the desires I have when I arise. It is mine

Thanks very much for that. I will print them off and use them. I'm not sure what the vortex state is? I googled it and couldn't find much - is a type of higher medititve state?

Thanks found it - I'll take a look. The Murphy reference was in relation to a text by Josef Murphy - the Power of the subconscious mind. I think I heard of it on this forum.

Here's a link to a pdf - there's a number of overlaps between it and the loa. I like that it has suggestions to try.
