yeah, there are those who are here who have done that, read the posts here in the relationship how exes with no contact in a while took efforts to contact again, you will learn from them. affirmations, writing our gratitude journal for things we are grateful for, visualizations, subliminal blaster and EFT, and meditations are one of the few used by many here.

I'm just going to cut and paste what I had written to another member about my story:

I tried a lot of things. Feng shui, general soul mate search, vision board, writing down affirmations, writing lists of things that I wanted and my personal favorite writing a letter to him, but not sending it (more info about that from this blog:  http://lawofattractioninlove.com/2009/05/do-you-believe-in-the-no-contact-rule-in-break-ups/)

I believe all those things were helpful in their own ways. Because of that stuff I was able to become clear on what I wanted. I was forced to work through my issues and learn to see things from my guy's perspective. Also, it helped me to forgive him.

But what I think really got him back was letting go and having faith that what I wanted to happen would happen.  See, I had always believed that the reason things had ended was because of the distance.  So that meant that I had to live closer to him for things to work out. For years, I had been telling him I would move and for years, I couldn't move. No matter how hard I tried to make the move, I kept failing and the reason I kept failing was because I was so unhappy.

I hated my job, I hated that I lived with my parents, I hated that my friends sucked and even worse, at the time, I resented my guy for having a better life than me (unfortunately, I couldn't see that he was just as unhappy as I was).  So when things ended between us, I got so frustrated at how miserable I was, that I started taking actions to make my life better. Here's where the feng shui came in. I got rid of all the garbage in my life, such as papers I had been saving from 1999, anything that had bad memories associated with it, all of the letters my guy had written me, all the cheap stuff in my room that I didn't like, I stopped associating with the friends that made me feel bad (I was left with only 1 friend at that time!) and so on.

That kept me distracted for a few months. At that point, I became comfortable being alone and started to love living at home with my parents. I also started to appreciate work and made new friends.  I was pretty happy, but I felt lonely.  So I tried doing a general search for a soul mate.  I did a general search because I still hadn't forgiven my guy completely.

The general search brought me a new guy and showed me how fast the LoA works.  Things didn't work out with the new guy because I was still hung up on my guy. Everywhere I went, there were strong reminders of him.  I believe this was because my guy was thinking about me strongly at that time, even though that's when he started seeing his (now) ex.  Anyway, because of all those things reminding me of him, I felt compelled to contact him.  Which I wrote about on this forum.  That didn't turn out the way I had expected and I let go of him again.

Looking back, I realize that I still had a chance with him, but because I hadn't completely forgiven him and was busy being hurt, I missed my opportunity.  But that was a good thing.

Anyway, many months later my sister moved to his state and I decided to visit her. During that time, I applied for a job there.  I didn't expect anything to happen, but the company I applied to kept calling me and offered me a position and I accepted! At that point I started the 30 day writing exercise.

When I started getting ready to move that's when things started to happen. The day before I moved, my guy broke up with his ex. A week later, I wrote that I had forgiven him and that I would love it if he would contact me.  He then wrote to me a few days later.  Then we met up. 

Things are a little weird right now, but I know it'll get better.

Tereza, thank you for sharing! True, when you completely forgive your guy, things will really happen sooo fast. I can feel that way too, the moment I decided to really forgive him, I can say that many started to get my attention, and amazingly, majority of them have the qualities in a man I am looking for hahaha I am still in the getting to know them stage, but it just amazes me how fast LOA really works when we choose to forgive ourselves, when we forgive others who hurt us in any ways. Really amazing

Thanks. But that post was super old and well, I ended up moving back in with my parents. 
Things are still good though and much has changed, but I'm not in a position to talk about it yet.

Also, I feel like I must clarify something...

In that paragraph above^
I wrote him a letter saying that I forgave him and that I would love to hear from him, BUT I never sent him that letter. He contacted me on his own, without me asking him to.
