Maybe his latest overtures are as a result of you having let go....? That's what struck me from this thread, that you've sort of sighed and thrown your hands up and really 'given it up to God,' to quote someone I read recently

Teresa, it sounds like a letting go process and you have had positive results very quickly! Good for you keep it up. Relax and go do something fun to get rid of the stuck feeling.

Another Update:

I figured out why we weren't able to talk in so long and it was because of a problem with the instant messaging program. It seems that it'll be broken for awhile. We then exchanged a few emails, where he would respond the same day. Though today he hasn't responded at all and I'm worried if I had said something wrong. His last letter rubbed me the wrong way and I'm not entirely sure why. Like...he had asked me if I would be moving soon and when I had told him that I was, he didn't say anything. No excitement or disappointment. No wondering where I'll move. Then he corrected my spelling saying that he liked the way I spelled the word but his way was the preferred way, even though I spelled it right. (huh???) Then he mentioned that he got to work with some semi-famous bikini babe. I told him that was great that he got to be a part of a project like that, but I didn't say anything about the girl.

I get the feeling he's trying to make himself look more impressive or something, but it's kind of offensive. Maybe that's why he hasn't responded to my last letter? Like maybe he felt like he was showing too much interest in me and now he's got to pull back a little? I don't know.

Oh well, aside from that there have been some really good things happening. My parents have finally listed the house for sale and as a result my mom seems more alive and active. And I had wanted to double my sales last month, but I had missed the goal by a few items, which I was still happy with as I had been very close. But here's the surprising part...when I looked at the actual cost of items sold...it was double what I had made the month prior! So I had reached my goal!

hey tereza.......awesome that you reached your goals........as for your guy. As a guy, I'll give my opinion. He didnt say anything about you moving possiblly because he doesnt know what to say. He probably doesnt want to sound needy or clingy and ask a million and one questions that could freak you out. He mentioned the bikini babe to more likely then not make himself look and feel good. Us guys have the need to puff up our own ego, even when we could be shooting ourselves in the foot. We just dont get were shooting ourselves until the hole is there and we have to figure out how to stop the bleeding. I am sure he got the point when you didnt mention her and complimented him on the project. As it has been said before in these forums. Dont put what emotion you feel behind his words. Unfortunetly emails and ims dont carry the actual emotion across sometimes and it can mess with you.

Congrats again.....i am very happy to hear everything is looking up for you

Thanks Skersting for sharing a guy's perspective. I never thought that it'd come across as clingy if he were to ask more questions about the move. So that's good to know. I still find the bikini girl thing weird since I'm never sure how to respond to that. I mean, I can't say...oh wow she's hot! Or she's not exactly my type...

Ya...if that were me I woulda been kickin myself as it came out.....sometimes when us guys feel comfy around someone we slip up into buddy mode....its funny how many guys ive talked to over the last few months that have done this with women...but we slip up and say something we would say to a buddy....basically trying to make ourselves seem cooler then we are lol...then we kick ourselves as we say it to the woman in our life...usually ends up with a womans wrath

BIG UPDATE:

It's been about a week since my guy last wrote to me and today I got a text message from him.

There's a new baby in his family and he sent me some pictures and the details!

This is kind of mind blowing and I'm thrilled that he thought of me and sent me news of this, especially through text message. I mean an email would've been fine, but this is kind of like...wow.

What did you do exactly for you to hear from him after a while?I've been wondering what my friend has been up to.He's responding lovingly to his other friends but with me,he rarely responds.I'd like to hear from him.I want the loving & sweet version of him back.

I'm not really sure what exactly caused him to contact me. I wasn't really doing anything besides vegging out. Sometimes I'd send loving thoughts, but that was if I remembered before I fell asleep. I wasn't expecting a response actually. I had kind of figured that we'd eventually get in touch when I moved to his city and we'd pick up where we left off. So I guess what I did was stop being attached?
