My daughter is now home from the hospital, (after being away for 2 weeks,) and her baby was delivered last Wednesday at 4 lbs 13 oz, and will be able to come home whenever they think he is ready. He was 6 weeks early and has an infection in his lungs (due to her water breaking 10 days earlier,) but his prognosis is good. I have so much to be grateful for. I have just finished my Art and Design History class (with a 99.75,) and I don't start back to school for 3 weeks, and I will have two weeks off from my job starting Tuesday. The timing for everything could not be more perfect! We will use my time off to prepare for the baby's homecoming and my 2 1/2 year old grandson will be making sugar cookies and gingerbread houses next week. He is so excited!
I am also grateful that I will be spending Christmas with people who will never desert me and those are the ones I need to be supporting and spending my energy on.
