Hello!
I just found your forum and I wanted to ask you smth. Me and my ex bf had a very difficult relationship of almost 2 years. During the last few months we broke up and we argued a lot, mostly because of me, for I couldn't forgive many of his mistakes. I'm beginning to forgive him, but every time I want to see him, he rejects me and he makes me hate him again "because you bring too much negative energy, I haven't recovered yet after this relationship, etc.".
I don't know what to do. I really want to get back to him, but I don't know how. If I don't hear of him, I start getting anoyed and feeling awful. If I call him or I see him, we end up arguing.

Hey Setwale,

Welcome to the Forum.

You remineded me of a saying, "I can not live with you, i can not live without you either."    

Well, as i can see you both seem to love each other and there is still a spark to be together. As i can sense, you both are stuck at your personal biases and the past bad experiences which is what is weakeing the every thought of your to be back with your ex.


I would strongly suggest you something we call as, "A fresh start'.  Something which is as fresh as a new born, something in which you have an much faith as much you have in "Sun rising in East".

All said and done, you both need to have a healthy respect for each other, after all, a perfect relationship is built around healthy respect for each other.

Just give it a go, respect each other, come out of your personal biases, give your ex something that he loves the most, apprecitate him for all the small-small things he does (Which you never did  ).

Trust me the best of yout life is right on your way.

Thank you for your e-mail. I'd like to try that, but my ex bf doesn't want to see me anymore, especially after I told him that I wanted to kill myself because I couldn't stand the pain. He yelled at me that he doesn't want to see me again. And I didn't yell, but I told him a few things, that were true, unfortunately. I always took back what I said, even if, in most of the cases, it was only the truth. I don't want to do that anymore. I want to forgive, but how about my broken pride?

And there is more. There is guilt. In the last two years, he couldn't write his paper for his licence degree. I always felt guilty. Even though he said I wasn't. But now he fights to write it; and I'm wondering why he hadn't done it when we were together. I was able to learn and go to school after a fight. But he wasn't.
So I feel guilty. So guilty that I began to write his paper. I don't know if it's okai. But I can't stay here and do nothing. He wouldn't see me, talk to me, or accept my help, so...what?

Welcome here, in our happy family!

What I can advice you...is to give, to you and that guy, some time before meeting again or talking...

When a couple splits there're always bad and negative feelings around, bad and negative memories, pain, misunderstanding, loosing hope, depression.

First you should do, is to relax and ACCEPT what happened!
Take the time to think what you should do, but CALM DOWN, it already happened...

I know how difficult is that but you need to have your head somehow empty and chilled out and just after you should take the time to ask yourself some questions.
Take 2 or 3 days if you can afford this to yourself, just to have fun, to do something that makes you happy.

When I was in that situation it was so painful that I couldn't stand it and I had to do something else, taking my attention elsewhere ..., I went many times in a raw watching a movie alone; had a long walk in my favourite garden-city, I visited museums, did a lot of things I didn't have the time to do before....Especially I was listening the radio, that is so positive and relaxing...

After all that time I accorded to myself, I just set down and made a list of questions in order to make a good analyse of the situation:

    1. What good that relationship brought me
    2. What kind of mistakes I did, and what he did
    3. Whose fault is that situation
    4. What will happen if this man gets killed tonight, will I survive the loss, do I really love him desperately
    5. Do I need that person for real
    6. What else in the world did I miss while having this relationship
    7. Does this man really deserve me
    8. What kind of person I need besides me, is this guy responding on my needs and expectations?
    9. Am I affraid of being alone

When you clear the situation, you will probably have the answer - yes or no I will fight for him... So....



     1. In case you decide to find a soulmate  but not that guy, you should make a clear list of the qualities the dream man needs to have, hobbies, opinions that are in harmony with yours...
Then you start a daily program - visualizing, affirmations, meditation... I can promise you that it works! I have a friend in Canada, it worked for him! 

     2. In case you decide to continue with the ex boyfriend, you should first of all turn the page of the past, trying and succeding to forgive him and accept what happened ....

If you are ready to forget the past and never ever talk about it...that will work for you.
You should then eliminate the negative thoughts while having a clear purpose in your head. So you'll visualize, making afirmations in relation with this specific person...


Something very important I want you to know , is that you MUST stop reproaching yourself the past and everything that happened.
You can't change absolutely anything of the past, so just don't think about that anymore!
It's not your fault that he felt on his licence and all the other things.

Every person is responsible for his choices and his behaviour....

And do not forget this important fact : Every person behaves in every moment with the maximum that's possible for him.
If you did what you did, it's because it was the best thing to do at this exact moment. Our psychological dynamics change every time we have different experiences, so you did the best you could at this second of your life!

NEVER REGRET YOUR CHOICES!

in the Universe there're no good and bad solution, all the solutions are good, it's the point of vue of every person that makes them good or bad....
The Universe gives you simply what you've requested... Negative thoughts gives negative material expressions...positive thoughts gives positive results.

So in any case, whatever you chose to do - you must absolutely keep positive thinking and cut immediately the negative thoughts.

You'll need time to recover, but believe me - TIME is the best medicine!

So don't blame yourself for the choices of other people that you've never made!!!

Keep going toward the bright future you are already creating yourself. Keep in mind that when one door's closed, another is opened!

So my guy has unblocked me but... Do I carry on pretending we are already together or what, in order for him to actually initiate contact?
By the way did you notice that without thinking I just referred him to him as "my guy" lol

First of all, I'm very proud of what you did!

 You succeeded sending so strong positive vibes to your man that he reacts on that!!!!

Can you imagine that it already worked for you and it continue working...!!

So please, do not change what you do - continue sending him love ,  positive pictures of you together, happiness! STOP QUESTIONNING YOURSELF!
You must stay positive and not doubting on what you should do!

If he unblocked you on MSN that means that he's still interested in how are you going and most probably is expecting you to contact him...
If I were you...I would wait after all, a bit more, being online that he sees you're there but you're not desperate and if he doesn't manifest himself after few days, you can leave him a message - something neutral...to see how he'll react?

Keep us updated! And keep doing the same! Have Faith! Visualize him replying nice things on MSN!

I've just got one little negative thing that I need to get out of my mind...
I get insecure because he is like 6ft 2 tall..and I know he hasnt got a girlfriend, I can feel it! lol But does height matter? because he did have a friend who was very tall but, Surely height doesnt matter... or does it?

I don't understand your point about his height?  You think that if he's taller than the other guys , he has more chances to get a girlfriend?

I think height has nothing to do with your case here!
