EFT opposit effect

The last few days I have tried to apply EFT to let goo of my longing and hurt. I am pretty sure that I have got it right but it seams that it has the opposite effect on me. Repeating the feeling that I want to let go just seam to start it all over again. So maybe this is not a god thing to do for me?

I learned this just yesterday.

in order to get rid of your hurt and past, you have to FEEL it fully. do not block it out, what you resist, presists.

acept your pain and your hurt, love it and forgive.

accept doesn't mean passive, loving it doesn't mean you strengthen it, forgiving it doesn't let it off the hook

accepting it, gives no resistance and allows it to wash over you and leave. loving it is like getting a hug when your down, it lifts you up. forgiving it gives you peace.

feel your hurt and pain, love it and it will heal

Iron UR,  What great words of wisdom.   So many people want to skip the part about accepting grief then letting it go.   Pain and sorrow can not go away until they are felt and dealt with.  Crying can be healing.

Thank you Iron Ur! Yes, in what you write I feel truth. It feels that I have been trying (very successfully) to close of the hurt and sorrow. Then when I started to do EFT and put names on my feelings they came up to the surface again. They have been there all along, very present in my dreams. I just get afraid that the feelings of loss, longing and hurt will take over again… I am going to continue to do EFT every day and really focus on the feelings and follow your advice of witch I am very thank full.
