animor, it's different for everyone. Some people still do affirmations, etc., once they reach detachment and others don't. For me, not doing anything is what feels right for me at this time. That's not to say I won't eventually or periodically go back to doing some of the things I was doing before. I think they key is to not worry that if you don't do something that it means your desire won't manifest - that's a big part of detachment. Knowing that what you want will manifest regardless of any efforts you are or are not putting into it.

Tulip, I think the fact that I've been exploring LOA for a while now has helped me get through this last setback much easier. I'm a much happier person than I was even 6 months ago and that's largely due to LOA. I'm doing a lot of fun things and not stressing about this guy. I'm even open to meeting someone else. I completely agree with you that things happen along the way to test your faith and to show you what you need to work on. I know that everything is happening exactly how they should in order to manifest my desire. I'm not thinking at all about what I need to do to align with the desire, etc., I know that the only thing I need to worry about is being happy - everything else will come.

Thank you everyone. I like the idea of using certain incidents to judge how your progress is going. I think that would be the best way for me to judge my detachment. Right now I feel I'm on my way to detachment but I am not fully there yet.

I'm on the same page with Irishgirl , so thank you for sharing your insight. I stop doing all the stuff I was doing with LoA for a bit now. I realized that I cannot concentrate on doing them when right now I'm not completely there to do so. I need heal myself and just do what's best for myself and live my life day by day. when I'm ready I will go back to them, i will but at the moment I'm doing what feels best for me to move on forward.

Everyone is different and and everyone works at whatever pace they are comfortable with.. I truly believe that you have to really find yourself and your inner happiness first.. it's so important for being detached. To me the process isn't easy..even now.. I find it as I write this that it's difficult but it can be done.

Key: Be Happy! That's it! When you are, everything WILL fall into place.
