I understand what you are saying, and in the people created world it makes perfect sense.
I have read more books than I can count about The Laws of the Universe, by well known and respected authors, and that are considered authorities on the subject. I have read many books on God, The Universe itself, Buddhism, the ancient Hindu scriptures of the Bhagavad Gita, I have read and learned many forms of meditation, and how to achieve the true self.
(Deep meditation, by the way still alludes me, I think I must get a proper teacher to learn correctly, so I have actually yet to achieve this so far)
Don't get me wrong, I don't pretend to know all of these things, they are many of the things I am studying and have experienced over the last year.
I am but a student, a babe in the woods you might say. So, believe me when I say, I am no authority on any of these aspects of Universal love and law.
That being said:
From what I have learned through my research, is that the Universe, never actually gives, or brings you anything.
It simply and perfectly allows you the opportunity to send out the vibrations that you want to send out, and throughout the Universe all vibrations intermingle and those vibrations matching yours are sent back you as what is called a manifestation.
This is what the earth people call attracting.
By sending out the vibrations of your higher self, you are attracting what it is you want to manifest.
If the Universe was in the business of giving out favors, then love would have no place in our lives. Love as in Universal Love.
God, (Universe) created the laws to be self perpetuating always. Everything is made of this energy that the Universe is made of. No doubt you have heard that.
If everything is a part of everything else, then it should be known that we are a part of God, (Universe) That being the case, we create our own reality by attraction, through feelings and emotions, (vibrations)
and the Universe is really a tool that was designed perfectly to allow us to realize our perfect lives, our perfect selves.
The only reason that the Universe was created, was that so God could know itself experientially. For this reason alone, our only real job on earth as humans is to know ourselves in the same way.
We are born again and again and again to the earth, until we reach that level of enlightenment. Once we reach that level, there is no need for us to be human, we therefore will remain forever in spirit.
You say we are governed by time, I'll throw in space too. (our own invention for our own comfort) I would agree with that, but the Universe knows no time or space, and its because of this, that all of us are able to send vibrations into the Universal Intelligence, all the time, without end.
Time was the invention of man, as was fear, also sin.
No one is up there judging us, telling us we can or cannot have this or that.
No one up there is keeping anyone from realizing their wildest dreams.
We as humans invented judgments purely out of fear, sin was also the invention of man, the ruling Catholic Church to be exact and the written bible as we know it is incomplete, and has been modified from its original version, just so the church could keep the masses in line.
It was for power that this was done. (Greed, another invention of man through fear)
If you follow the teachings of Jesus, a man. A truly enlightened man, you will find that love is the ingredient behind all of his miracles. He was able to perform those miracles, because the love he had, eradicated any possibility of doubt within him. He so trusted love that all is possible to him. Thus, he has said, even the least of us can do as he has, and even more. He is telling us something here about ourselves.
This is because we, like him, are all sons of God (Universe). Most of us here on earth are not yet enlightened enough to perform such miracles. Some are.
So for someone to say to me that LOA is a cop out, that statement alone is a cop out in and of itself.
What that statement does, is return you to the more comfortable state of knowing what is earthly and solid. That statement will not allow you to believe in yourself fully, and thats exactly what it takes to attract.
It is easier for most to remain ignorant, than it is to expand and explore.
The Secret, so many of you speak so highly of, was in its way a good work, I read the book, watched the movie, both several times.
For me, it only scratched the surface of the Laws of the Universe, it only gave a fuzzy outline as to what really exists. It gave me a taste of something better, and I am thankful for it, as it lead me to much deeper research and thought.
It only gave a smidgen of the real truth, understandably to reach as many of the masses as possible. I am not saying it was written with greed in mind, but it gave a 3rd grade education about a subject that would require a full doctoral degree to fully comprehend, as it goes into physics, time space continuum, quantum physics, behavioral studies as well as social, religious and political realms. Even a doctoral degree in the study may not be enough.
Anyway, the Laws of the Universe, and the Laws of Attraction hold much more in them than any of us can possibly know.
I would say that the possibility of its realm is infinite. Thus, the (field of potentiality)
Lise2010, sorry for the long read here, but I know that it is true of you that you are intelligent and true to yourself.
I just don't want you to miss all the wonderful things there are to learn about the Universe and the infinite things that it can allow you to do for yourself, and for others.
Loving another in the form of romantic love, for lack of a better word, can and will raise your vibrations to a level that you feel like your on cloud nine always. And, that is good. This same love can also cause in you a need, a sense that someone else is responsible for your happiness, which will, without a doubt, lead you to self loathing.
We have both been there, you know of what I speak, everyone has been there.
Thats why I say that letting go of the romantic love is, I think necessary to allowing that type of love into your life again. Be it with your ex, or another.
Lise, believe me, if I could find a way to keep the romantic love for my ex alive and let go of her at the same time, I would, and if you know of any way that this can be accomplished, I am ready to learn it, as I love my girl as much or more than one can.
I'm so sorry that this was so long. It would literally take me several days to talk this much out loud.
