Been practicing loa for a year, I need some advice.

So I found this forum about a year ago, and been trying to mend things with my guy. We've gone to not talking to being friends but things have been stagnant since. There were  few times when i was so sure he was leaning towards getting closer but it didn't materialise. I guess I'm writing this cause it just occurred that it's been a year, don't get me wrong, i love being his friend but I want more ofcourse. And to this day, I don't know if there's anyone else in his life as we both don't talk bout our love lives. Still unsure if I should ask him about that??? Nobody else in my life really knows I still want him back. I'm just unsure of what else to do... please advise. I'd love to hear any tips or suggestions!

Dancingshoes, do you regularly hang out with him or do you just chat over the phone or talk online?  If you spend time with him in person, perhaps you might want to get a little flirty with him?  Actually, either way you might want to get flirty with him.

Oh and do you do gratitude lists? Perhaps you could add something in there about him being more flirtatious with you or giving you a kiss.  That might help with moving things along.

tereza, I don't really flirt with him verbally, sometimes I do subtle things like sit close or hug him a little longer. I hang out with him at times or we text each other. Also, I think i haven't been that flirty cause i don't want to scare him off or seem desperate (it took a while to attract him back as a friend). Trust me, if i sensed any interest on his side, I would take the opportunity but nothing so far. Also, I usually initiate our meetings and text messaging.

About the gratitude lists, I do write them but perhaps I shall ask for more and be very specific.

I'm just concerned that quite some time has passed with us apart... most success stories seem to be of those with a few months apart

Perhaps that's what's keeping things from progressing? Not the flirting I mean, just that you're afraid of scaring him off and you're afraid to lose what little bit you have of him and that's affecting the way you interact with him. It sounds like you don't really believe that he's interested in you. If you fully believed that he wanted to be with you, perhaps you would act differently?

Also, it sounds like you don't trust that he'll make time for you. If you're always initiating contact or conversations, you're not really in a state of allowing or receiving.  He can't ask you out, if you're asking him out all the time. I'm not saying that it's bad to ask him out or talk to him, just that maybe it's something that you should do only when you feel inspired to and not something you do because you're afraid he's going to forget you.
