Attracting your soul mate
« on: April 18, 2011, 12:17:17 PM »
I have always had a hard time finding that one person who is perfect for myself. I would like a romantic relationship with someone who is compatible with me. I have tried using the LOA to find that person, but I am not sure how to do so.

I would love to hear your techniques for this subject. Maybe you have a story about how you attracted your boyfriend/girlfriend?

I could really use your help, and I am sure others would like advice as well  :)
Enjoy the small things <3

Hello, so many people have written stories here about attracting their partners.    Do some reading through the topics in relationships.  Hopefully some of us will remember some of the threads.  What LOA practices have you worked with for attracting a partner?  First you have to be clear on what you want for a general soulmate search.  I think one of the most simple books for starting with this process is The Law of Attraction Book by Michael Losier.

Wyat,

Welcome!! It is our pleasure to help you.  Sometimes it is hard to know where to start.  What do you know about LOA so far?

Vicki...
I will certainly look through the topics in relationships. Thank you for the advice. I am new to this forum, and I didn't think of that  :)

So far I have tried mostly only visualization for my relationships. I usually just visualize myself with someone. I guess I haven't really been clear on what exactly I want. Maybe that is the problem  ::)

Schenderson...
I am thankful that you are willing to help me.  ;D So far I have read "The Secret" and I have also read several of the Esther and Jerry Hicks books. For some reason I haven't gotten much from them. I haven't really manifested anything.

They have certainly made me a much more positive person and I am much happier. So when the things that I was trying to manifest never came, I was okay with that.

I currently have a vision board, which I started yesterday. I have a picture of a couple on it, so that I could possibly attract my relationship that way.

Read The Power too as the Secret does not go into the fact that you have to FEEL what you affirm and visualize.  The Power discusses this point better.

Hey Wyat,

I had a very clear view of what my partner was like energetically. I had pictures on the wall of the type of love we expressed and joy we would be in ...

With that, I let it go ... I wasn't obsessing over having a specific person or even looking that much ... I just let it go, and was in a space of extreme happiness, joy, and self love ...

I met the love of my life and twin flame on Twitter of all places and defied the odds of being on opposite sides of the world to be with her. I was in Los Angeles, she in Australia...

When I felt the intuitive call to do it, I purchased a plane ticket for about 10 days later ... and I went to Australia and spent 11 magical days with her (this is my love Sarah Prout --> www.SarahProut.com) . After about 1.5 months being back home, I flew out again to experience a longer time with her, and stayed for 3.5 months (almost getting blocked out of the country because I over stayed the 3 months visa ... whooops!!!!)

After getting back to the states again for another 1.5 months, I flew out for a third time ... that was in January and I am here for up to a year, and we will figure out what to do next. At this time though we are creating a business together, living joyfully and lovingly and happily. :-)

For you, I'd recommend writing out the specific qualities you want in a partner ... the specific traits ... how you are with each other ... the energy of the person ... what you're able to discuss and laugh about ... etc. Get very specific ... don't worry about how it's written with this first step, just brainstorm it out in bullet points. Then, once you're done, go back and make it concise words or statemtns, such as (*Fun * Loving *Loves the LOA and Metaphysics *Funny and playful, etc.) ... finally, get some photos of a couple together that represents that and post it on your wall ...

And then?

Let go!!

Focus on your own self love and being fulfilled NOW.

It is from that place you'll likely attract the best person :-)

It truly is my pleasure to help!! In regard to your vision board, have fun with it!! Get a couple magazines, cut pictures of ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you want!  Cut out sayings that inspire you. This is a FEEL GOOD project and then hang it where you will see it everyday.   ;D

You say things NEVER manifested.  Well there are a couple things to take into consideration.  One, is we must BE whatever it is that we want.  If we want love, we must love ourselves whole heartedly.  The second is, in order to add more good to your life, you must be grateful for what is already in it.

I like what Sean is saying below.  It is a good exercise.  However, if I may adjust a bit.  Start by listing all that you are grateful for in your life.  "i am grateful for the air I breathe""I am grateful for the roof over my head""I am grateful for my good health"  You choose.  At the bottom of that list, add to it the things you desire as though they already exist.  Basically incorporate what Sean suggested.  "I am grateful for my loving and supportive girlfriend""I am grateful for my healthy relationship with her""I am grateful for her beautiful smile""I am grateful for her fun loving attitude." Once again, those are just examples.  You choose.   ;D  Read this list every night before you go to sleep and forget about it.  Do it again the following night.  Really FEEL the positive emotions when you read these.  In the morning, in the mirror, repeat to yourself out loud "I AM LOVE""I AM Confidence""I AM TRUE Happiness" etc.  Then go about your day enjoying your life.

This is a very good place to start.   :-*

Sean...
I love the story of you and your wife. I remember reading your post about it. It is very inspirational, and such an interesting tale!  ;D I am so glad that it worked out for you, thank you for sharing your story and advice.

I have never thought of writing out the specific qualities, that's a great idea! I am so glad that you have given me this advice. I will make that list and learn to love myself a little more.

Schenderson...
I am having so much fun with my vision board!  :) I am already starting to see some results. I put a clock on there that says "I have nothing but time." It seams like I have a lot more time to get everything done now. I am so happy.

I really enjoyed your advice about gratitude. I try to go through the things that I am thankful for every morning. Feeling gratitude always puts me in a great mood. I haven't ever added things that I want in my life, that I don't actually have yet. I will make that list  ;D

Thank you for the wonderful advice, both of you. You have been so helpful!

Hey Wyat,

Haha, oh she's not my wife, but she is my love. Our one year anniversary being together is coming up in about 1 month.

I'm so glad it could be helpful for you. I'm gonna hold you to that list of qualities k? By what date are you making the commitment to yourself to write out that list? ;-)

Keep on listening to Sheri (schenderson) too, I'm seeing her with great advice.

One important note about your statement, "I have nothing but time." Would you consider changing that to, "I have all the time in the world," ? You want to be careful with the 'affirmations' you're stating and posting around you. The subconscious is a funny thing and, in some cases, the statement you wrote initially could trigger off some strong vibes via your subconscious. For example, if you're ever in a not so happy statement, unconsciously you may start picking up, "I have nothing," <-- the first three words of the statement.

Instead, always be sure any statements or affirmations you're using to empower yourself gets rid of all negative and contradictory language ... That can lead it to being sound proof :-)

One thing I don't understand... if you believe in "soul mates", why do you have to do anything to find them? surely they just come to you, and you don't have to do anything other than live and love your life the way you would anyway?

This really really confuses me. I don't actually believe in a 1-for-1 soul mate - I think we have lots of important connections in our lives - but if I did, it seems to be part of the definition that they are meant for you. And if someone is meant for you, what circumstances could keep you apart? Why would the universe create someone who is meant for you, and then keep them in hiding? It doesn't make any sense to me. If you have a soul mate, you will find each other. It seems contrary to LOA beliefs to think that the universe would create someone just for you, and then keep them hidden away where you can't find them.

I completely understand where you are coming from Ginny.  Your philosophy kind of in line with the saying "reason, season, lifetime"  Some people are here for a reason, while others for a season and a few for a lifetime.  In my opinion, we create our own soul-mates.  We are busy creating them while we grow and learn.  Then we have to be ready for them.  If you aren't ever ready, they won't ever come.

From what I have learnt, soulmate dose not necessarily have to be your lover. It can be a friend, a parent, a sibling, etc. Also, we do not have just one soulmate. We have many. In Paulo Coelho's book 'Brida' he explains this very well.

In another thread on this forum, I read that that person who's born just  for us is our twin flame and not soulmate. I heard it here for the first time and it made sense. In my opinion, since we have many soulmates but just one twin flame, it is possible that we get into a relationship with one soulmate and then we split because may be their 'season' (taking from Sheri) in our life ended. When it comes to twin flame, if we attract them into our lives, then they shall stay on forever.

As for the Universe creating our twin flame and keeping them in hiding, here is my opinion. The Universe has already created everything that we desire. Not just our twin flames but literally everything that we want is already created and is waiting for us to draw it into our lives. The reason somethings do come into our lives and some do not is that we are on the same vibrating frequency with some things, while with the others, we are not. So even though all that we desire is already there, in order to bring it into our lives we should be on the same vibrating frequency as our desire. Same thing with our twin flame. We have to be on the frequency of love to allow our twin flames into our lives. And the beginning is by loving ourselves unconditionally first.

Sean...
Sorry about mistaking her for your wife. I don't know what made me think that ::)

I wrote that list last night and I have already read through it tonight. I really focused on feeling it, not just reading it. I caught myself smiling throughout the entire thing.  ;D I am so glad and grateful that you suggested I do that.

"I have all the time in the world" sounds like a much better thing to say. Thank you for pointing that out. I always tell myself that I have plenty of time, so that I don't rush myself. It really does help me get more done. Now I will focus on, "I have all the time in the world"  :)

Ginny...
I think you and I have a different meaning of "soul mates". And that is perfectly fine.  :) I do respect your opinion.

In my opinion, you do have to work to find your soul mate. You have to love yourself, and believe that you have a soul mate. You have to trust that the Universe will bring that person to you.

I think that maybe you will have more than one soul mate in your life. It depends on the person.

Schenderson...
I like what you said about having to be ready for your soul mate. I really do agree with you on that  :D

Angle Star...
I agree with you on what you define as a soul mate. I think that you can have more than one, but only one twin flame. I also think that the Universe has already created everything that we desire. It is up to us to attract that into our lives.

I know that to find love, you have to love yourself first. I think that is the most important part. Others cannot love you if you do not love yourself first.

Thank you all so much for you help and your opinions. You have brought me much joy  ;D

<3 Wyat
