Does Abraham Hicks state that you can get specific person back?
(I'm currently researching on him)

also, I watched a video posted on here called Abraham hicks- wanting a specific lover and need help understanding this...
It days you just gotta get in alignment, the universe will give you better than what you want...

But what about the specific person?

I watched a couple of their videos on it and yeah they say it's possible but because there is only one prize and many players, there can be resistance and you can only attract that specific person to the extent of how much you believe you can,They said it is better to ask for a person with an essence that is like that of the specific one you want to attract, and that many times the universe will give you that person and if not one that is really good, but in doing this way it causes less resistance.

What she means by that is that, every time you see something you dont like or get the feeling of dislike it is because it is not what you want or would like, and everything that you want and everything you like, the universe knows, you don't have to specifically ask for it in writing or visualization because you already stated it in your mind and within you. When it comes to a specific person the universe knows you want them but unless you believ you can attract/have them the universe can't give it to you, due to resistance, I like abraham hicks, I listen to her when I need an uplift but she carries a different philosophical view on LOA, different from bob proctor and different from The Secret. They all work just different interpretations I gues?

Ya i am starting to come to the conclusion that what ever method you believe will work will work.  its about believing, having faith that i will work.

I completely agree with the last post. Believing is everything when it comes to manifestation.

Whether you use the law of attraction or a spell or even a prayer, you MUST believe for it work. You have to have 100% unbreakable faith in your ability to attract whatever it is  that you want.

In my opinion, the best way for you to find out whether it is possible to attract a specific person into your life is to do it! Apply what you have learned from Abraham or anywhere else and see if it works for you. It may or may not depending on how much you believe but you must put into action that which you learn to see results...

Absolutely agree with you, Guru! Everything comes down to belief. People come here looking for someone to tell them it'll be okay (I've done that, this isn't criticism). But you've got to get that belief entrenched in yourself, or you're doomed to fail.

I agree. There are no limits, really. Somethings are harder to believe than others, of course, due to the rules we learn while we grow up. Too much thinking about the how, also develops resistance. Sometimes it's not really about doubt it will work, it's fear that it won't, so people don't want to get their hopes up

Anything is possible, from the moment you believe it. And then it comes.

What if you find it hard to believe? Should you force yourself?
 
The reason I ask is that my sister has been so focussed on getting her ex back for the last two years. I can see that she doesn't really believe that he still has feelings for her. She is almost trying to will it happen.
 
What should she be doing? Resist that voice that tells her to move on? Or force herself to believe?
How do you believe when you really don't?
 
I'm really at the end of my rope here. She deserves much better than that dingbat with an emotional range of a teaspoon.

Yes, use him as an example, get all of the traits you love about him, his essence, everything and ask for that also add more things as well! It is not a FOR SURE that the universe will give you that specific person, from what I have heard alot of the times yes, and if not the one get is even better or just as good.

I started doing it this way and really emraced that it could be anyone and accepted it and really let go of my ex, I'm serious when I think of him consciously I just think about how much I appreciate his existance, that's it.

Now that I have let go I'm getting the most intense dreams with him and I have this feeling he is going to reach out to me, and so I'm just going to keep doing what I do and see what happens,

Other people have done it. There IS a way, the point here is figuring it out on our own! Since manifesting depends so much on feeling, belief and unseen things, I guess that's why it yields different results to each of us.

Another thing, About believing in LOA to have it work, It makes sense, but i think as a law of the universe, LOA works ANYWAY.. So many times i decided to "test" the law, and not being really sure whether it will work or not, But it worked!

But the key to those small manifestations was them being "small", i did not really cling to them, and the whole experiment was playful and fun!

Like a couple of days ago, I was thinking "I want to see a red BMW ,, and i pictured one in my mind.." then i totally forgot about it. On my way home THAT night, I saw a red BMW right infront of me!! and the funny part, I never saw it again in that street since that day .. (probably someone was visiting.. )

My conclusion: It's not about believing in LOA. It's about having No resistance.
And resistance is doubt, contradicting thoughts, fear, worry, trying to figure out how/when , or obsession..

Yes it is about undeniable faith.  If you ever doubt that, look deep in your soul and you will find it to be true.  Faith in yourself and faith that you have everything you need to create anything you want.  I often think about a passage in the bible.  Talks about how god provides for the birds so why wouldnt god provide for the most evolved and prized creation.  We were given the power and all we have to do is believe we can use it.  I think this is why the focus on ones self is needed.  By doing things like getting in shape, expanding your mind, creating income, and various other things that raise our self confidence, it creates self confidence and the "I can do it!" mentality.
