An ex comes back after seven years!

Hi everyone!  It's taken me awhile to post about this subject because i am very detached from it but it is still encouraging and proof that all exes do come back if you send out energy toward them.

Anyway, I had been thinking pleasant thoughts about a guy I dated many years ago.  He's a great human being and a good friend.  But, as seems to be the case with me, he didn't appreciate me as much as he could have.  he still was, without a doubt, better to me than the last guy though.

Anyway, he contacted me after seven years of no contact and we've been communicating back and forth by phone and email and he told me the other day that he is sorry and he realizes now that he could have been much more understanding and appreciative.

Well, see.  That's how it happens!

I had an ex come back after 25 years. At the time when we broke up (he was my first serious boyfriend, and we'd been together for a year and a half) I was completely devastated. I obsessed about him for well over a year I think, and only very gradually was able to let go, as time began to heal it. Approximately 26 years later he came looking for me, saying he'd realised too late that I was his "soul mate" and the only girl he'd ever loved. He did find me (no mean feat, as I'd moved far away!) and we talked a bit, but nothing came of it as I'd moved on 20 years earlier - I guess in LOA terms, back when we broke up I was asking asking asking (and begging, and pleading), but  never allowing. Although it was painful at the time, it was just as well really I think - my life would have been totally different had I stayed with him, and I think I like my life better the way it is now. Certainly I've had broader experiences than I would have had I stayed in my home town with him.

@Brave, well the first time we broke up I consciously did attract him back, but this second time (after the 7 years) i didn't.  i believe that it was forgiving all of my exes and myself, as well as, thinking positive thoughts about him that just naturally attracted him.  And it is good to have him back as a friend because he really is a great person!
@DH, I couldn't agree with you more!  The more open the heart is to love, the more love is received.
