what is the correct way of wanting something?

Right now I can see so many things that I would like instantly in my life and thats totally fine by me. However I find that I want these things so much it hurts and I know thats not the right way to go about it. It's just that I have been doing my best to remain happy and greatful but something deep down just keeps highlighting that I do not have these desired things. It's almost like the waiting is making me unhappy and I keep getting this sense of urgency. Please help me I am feeling a bit off. Thanks

I'm in the same boat. I guess the best we can do is to just do whatever it takes to make ourselves happy in the present. Some of the things I do: watch movies and shows I like, flip through magazines and look at all the pretty things in there, and constantly read inspirational stuff about the law of attraction. I like to have fun with my manifestation practices, turning them into little games when I can. For example, the last thing I did was create an astrological energy circle with switchwords. It was great fun choosing all the words I'd put on it and where they'd go...

It is okay to want something very badly. In fact the more you want something the better. You just need to know how to direct that energy and focus it in the correct mindset from a positive perspective. Also you should take some time putting your desires in order of importance. Make a list, and write down the specific positive feelings you have when you imagine having your desire that makes you want them so badly to begin with. This will become your "map" detailing what you want most in order(focus) and the feelings you desire in their manifestation(targets).   Focus on your top desire, one at a time, with the intention of feeling only the positive emotions or targets you identified with them! When you feel bad about NOT having something you are in effect saying to the universe "I want to feel more negativity about not having this" or "I want more lack in my life".   Instead, focus all your attention on how much you love what you want and gratitude when you visualize owning them. This way you will only be asking for more reasons to feel love and gratitude, not just about your desires, but in your whole life as well!

The best way to get what you want is to "want it by heart". I mean really.

First you gotta figure out why you want it? Is it because of any greed/jealousy/possessiveness/anything negative influence. Don't get me wrong here. Most of our desires are dependent on it.
If you are not fooling yourself then you will understand what I am trying to say.

Let me give you an example.

I was looking for a job.
Everyone want a job as a source of steady income. But my major motivator behind getting that job was to "Prove myself". I broke up with my then girlfriend because of lethargic nature of mine. So I wanted to prove that "I am the real deal".

Which I did. But there was a lot of mental stress I had put on myself. My desire came from "doing something for someone" not because I wanted it.

When you truly want something from within, you have no issues believing it. Because after all its your own stuff. And belief is all you need for successful manifestation.

So according to me the best way to want something is to genuinely want it for YOURSELF only.
Of course you can still manifest it, if your motivators are external things. But the amount of effort and mental trauma you have to go through is much higher.

BE REAL is all I can suggest

thank you so much for replying I really appriciate it. I will most do my best to remain happy like the first response suggested, and totally priorities my desires so I can get a clearer picture of what I want first which does take the pressure off a bit. Thanks I guess I am where I am.

I agree with Maverick. I really think for the manifestation to happen you have to have passion for it, and really follow what your heart is telling you.
