I recently manifested a job. Not what I completely wanted but im grateful. I have an interview next week. My advice to you would be to make an affirmation, and just keep saying it,over and over again. Then your subconscious will start to accpet it as a fact. Thats what ive done. Ive been manifesting more recently than I have ever done before. Dont figure out the how, just focus on what you want and it will come to you. And take action. Action will bring it to you faster.

Hello happyMom  :)

Not sure how much you know about manifesting and the different LOA teachers out there, but if you are new I'd recommend starting with Abraham Hicks' 'Ask and It Is Given'.

But to give you some quick tips, our reality is only a reflection of how we feel. So first change your limiting beliefs regarding getting a job, until you feel worthy of whatever job in whatever company you want. Your 8 year gap and other technicalities don't matter - unless you make it matter.

First decide which specific job you want, that you are comfortable/excited about. Then think about how you'd feel once you get the job - and I don't mean try to jump for joy. Think about why you want the job - maybe it'll give you relief? Maybe you'd feel worthy, important, self-reliant, independent etc. What Abraham teaches is that we are all part of the Universe, which is already worthy and important and loved and everything else. So whether we believe it or not, we are already worthy and important and independent, irrespective of circumstances. So feel those feelings knowing it is true.

Finally, if you are worried about interviews and getting re-acquainted with the IT field, try to soothe those anxieties. Ask yourself some 'wouldn't it be nice' questions - wouldn't it be nice if the right things to say in the interviews just came to me? Wouldn't it be nice if the job I get offers training so I can get comfortable with the IT field again?, and so on. The truth is, the universe is always guiding you. Your experience or lack thereof doesn't matter. Just relax and let the universe do everything for you.

Hope this helps. Also my success story about how I manifested getting accepted to a top university despite a gap year and some issues in my academic record might help you. http://www.powerlawofattraction.com/forum/index.php?topic=26975.msg227182;topicseen#new

Hi happyMom, it seems your priority should be to "get back in touch." You say your skills are outdated, so what can you do to improve your skills so that they match with the job you want?

I also wonder about how many job interviews have you gone to? It might take a considerably larger amount of interviews compared to the number you have in mind. It reminds me of the success stories of people who get rejected multiple times before getting their big break.

Another approach you can consider is to figure out what you can do with your current skill level, and see if there is anyone who needs it. I assume you have a network of colleagues in your field of profession, perhaps you can contact them and see if any of them require the service you can offer.

  • Erana: I think the person was just finding random reasons to be angry and rant, since nothing they said made any sense. First they make a post seemingly offended at what others think of Jesus, but upon trying to have a conversation about it they claimed they didn’t care about Jesus. That’s when I gave up. Anyway, I am going to pretend this ‘episode’ never happened, lest we attract them back  ;)

  • siamesegirl: There's no wonder threads get deleted if people go around ranting and calling others retards. I wonder if they go around doing this in real life? For what it's worth I'm not a fan of Abraham Hicks as channelling is difficult for me to believe in. I do agree some of their stuff has value for example the emotional guidance scale. But blamed some law of attraction teacher for what someone chose to do themselves is passing the buck. Over the last few months I've seen several posters disappear because they can't follow basic forum guidelines.

  • siamesegirl: Scarlt7 I read your messages. As they're not there anymore I can't refer to them but I recall they came across as a rant rather than a question or a discussion. Perhaps if you'd made a post in the relevant section of the forum as a proper discussion you may have received some comments and feedback. I don't think you expressed your opinion clearly at all

  • RollingRock33: @Magneta. I completely disagree. Being compassionate toward those who are undeserving shows kindness on our part, and therefore not only brings our energy higher, and attracts better things toward us, but also makes a difference in their lives, and brings them happiness and things to be grateful for. No offense, but what you said is really childish and unkind, and also causes greater blocks in our own energy; selfishness.
