I'm not sure I can tell you how since your mind doesn't seem to work like mine does. I just let it go. Very simple.

No it's not. It's stopping obsessing about the desire, or what you want. Not stop wanting it.

There was a passage in Reality Transurfing that I liked so much that I copied it to my iPhone notes. Hope this helps you in some way...

"The thought pattern described below will help you to cleanse your intention of desire:

To start with you consider the goal you want to achieve. As soon as doubts enter your head you know you have desire. If you start worrying about whether you have the necessary qualities and skills to achieve the goal it means you have desire. Even if you believe that you can and will achieve your goal, desire can still be present. You have to want and act without fueling the emotion of desire.

The intention to lift your hand up and scratch the back of your head is an example of intention free of excess potential. There should be the pure intention to act, not the desire to act. This requires reducing the levels of inner and outer importance you associate with the goal.

There is a very simple way of reducing importance, which is to come to terms with the possibility of defeat at the very beginning. Unless you accept the possibility of defeat you will not eliminate desire."

There is some verbiage that may be specific to the concept of reality transurfing, however I believe the underlying principle is similar to that of LOA. Hope this helps you.

I would try to stop thinking about it all the time because if it's on your mind a lot then it's easy to find yourself coming from a place of lack.  And you don't want to be sending out that vibration.  Let go of the belief that you're lacking it and get a hold of the belief that you already have it and that it's now on its way to you.  When you're coming from a place of faith and trusting that it's on its way to you, then you can relax and be a peace because you know it's coming.  So there's no need to obsess over it.  You can go about your day and put your thoughts on other things.  Your desire might still be in the back of your mind as you go about your day, as you will be expecting and anticipating its arrival, and looking forward to it.  But there's no need for it to be in the forefront of your mind all the time which could lead you back to the vibration of lack as you start to doubt and lose faith.

True. I was listening to a mediation last night, and after I felt such an assurance that I never felt before. I felt clarity and peace about it. I felt as if she was already in my life. And because of that, ive been feeling better today. But yes I do think that I need to stop obbesing over it so much because that will cause resistance.
