Can I manifest my boyfriend getting a better body?
« on: April 07, 2018, 10:25:33 PM »
Ok, yes, this is sort of ridiculous.

I've been in a relationship for one year and lately, he's gained a few pounds. He actually used to be very athletic in his younger years. His old photos are rather stunning. He talks about our future a lot, it sounds like he really wants to be with me in the long term. But I can't spend my life with someone who doesn't care about their health and image. I don't want to break up with him, though. At least not any time soon.

I'm pretty sure I could attract this. I imagine it would manifest either with him changing his lifestyle, or just accidentally attracting a new partner.

Would it be ok to do this, if I added something like "if this is in his highest good"? I've never used manifesting on something that so strongly affects another person. Mostly I feel like I need permission from other conscious creators, which is silly.

I've found the only way to influence anyone is to work on yourself too.

Suggest you RI him to see a doctor who'll advise him about lifestyle rather than how stunning he could look. He might have an underlying issue that he can't do anything about which is causing his weight gain and even with a doctor's help he might not be able to lose it.

If that is the case you'll have to work on your own feelings about his attractiveness.

I think the body stuff is up to him. If it really bothers you it's probably best not to be with him as he'll only end up feeling bad about himself, don't you think?

Why would he feel bad about himself? I'm not intending to shame him into weight loss. I'm not intending to share any of these types of thoughts with him. I was intending to simply see/imagine him as having a great body, and intentionally stop noticing or paying attention to anything contradictory to that. If he is ultimately not wanting that, then his desire and free will would be stronger than my imagination, am I wrong?

All I am really talking about here is being in alignment with my desires.

I was hoping to get responses from a conscious creator perspective, an LOA friendly perspective. Do people on this forum believe that LOA isn't a dominating law in the universe? If so, I may be in the wrong place.

I am sorry if this post is triggering to some people. I did not mean for it to be.

No such thing as free will. You can manifest this but you need to be faithful.

You could also just try telling him how you honestly feel about it.  Let him know that his weight bothers you and that you would prefer him to get in better shape.  Nothing wrong with that - being out of shape is a turn off for a lot of people.  If he knows that it really bothers you then it should motivate him to work on the problem.

I have to ask - why do you believe there's no such thing as free will?

I'm sure you mean well, but why, praytell, would you offer conventional, everyday advice on an LOA forum? She KNOWS she can tell him, and clearly does NOT want to do that.

Free will is an illusion. Where does you will come from? Is it really free? If its free, you would be able to control it, but they say "you can't help what you want" or "the heart wants what the heart wants" and " you can't help how you feel." Well either you can, or you cannot. Where do your desires come from? If they are really free then change them now. Make a change. Will yourself to want something completely different than what you want now.

You can't Nobody can. All thoughts, including those surrounding desires, choices, will, etc, come from nowhere and arise into your consciousness, at which point you take credit for them (or the blame) as your own.

A little bit of self-inquiry is all that is required to see through the illusory nature of free will.
