Neville Goddard & Joseph Murphy's teacher?
« on: June 10, 2015, 03:54:35 AM »
So this guy was an African Jew named Abdullah if memory serves.

Is there any other information about this guy?

I assume they got everything they knew from him.

I remember trying to search online for things regarding Abdullah, but I didn't find much.

Which also brings up a question about their methods...

How is one supposed to induce this "state akin to sleep" that is talked about?

Hm. I don't remember that exactly, but I'm assuming he's talking (indirectly) about moving into the Alpha or Theta states (brainwaves).  There's a ton of stuff and meditation/binaural beats online that may help in this regard.

Bliss does the job. The state of Bliss automaticaly puts one in Alpha or Theta, the state that can produce manifestations.

Would "Financial Freedom" be too general of a goal to use Neville's technique?

I'm going to sit down and come up with an imaginal scene that implies my desire for financial freedom has been fulfilled and try Neville's method as I go to sleep tonight.

And how long will you do this for?

Well Neville said that, when the feeling of reality is yours, the desire to repeat the act of prayer is lost.

So until I've reached that point.

I just need to come up with an act that if true would mean the fulfillment of my desire...and I'm still pondering that.

And what if, some time later, you move out of this fulfilled feeling?

That's the easiest thing under the sun. You're actually spoilt for choice here.

I did a few searches on him and found a few small articles but not much
Here's a video of Neville telling a story of Abdullah. I love the part where they're at the restaurant and he says to Neville it's because he has quibbles.

Are you saying I should persist with the technique indefinitely until it has hardened into fact?

Don't skip ahead, Bb.  Make haste slowly. Answer the original question.
