Hello all,

Lossing weight is a process. One must understand, inorder to to achieve, what you badly want there are two steps:

Step 1- Attract it
Its utmost important to be the one in thoughts, as you want to see yourself in reality. It will create your "I am now Slim" Attitude and design your belief system than your are already lossing weight.

Step 2- Inspitred Actions:
Dieting, gymming, exercise and aerobics all come later once you have that "I am already Slim" attitude and belief system in place to back you. Attracting weight loss works like a charm.

The manifestation of weight loss, is positively correlated with the way you attract and visualise to be Slim. Do not worry, just stick around to the law of Attraction forum, and you will learn how to manifest what you want instantly and effectively.

Happy Losing Weight
 :)

Great post!

Inspired action in weight loss:

Working out and healthy food choices will not feel like a chore or obligation, but more of a habit if you are inspired.

If "I am now Slim" didn't help, you can use "I am getting slimmer" which can be easily absorbed by the subconscious mind compared to the first affirmation.

When doing all of the above, are you supposed to hold on o that image like constantly thinking about it over and over or are you sposed to just let it go and try to not think about it? lol

When I am about to compulsively stuff in my mouth everything that I find to eat, I just visualize the picture of me looking slim and happy. The power of visualization is so strong that it overcomes the need for overeating. Now, I am only eating as much as I need. And I am getting slimmer.

Instead of focusing on losing weight. Which is a take away, i.e. you think you're giving something up.

What is your end result? I am so happy now that I weigh .......

I know this goes against the billion diet industry yet isn't the easiest weight plan - Eat less, Exercise more?

You have to inspire yourself to attain the weight you want.

Weight and eating have so many emotions connected with it.  After me everybody say 3 little letters E.F.T. - lol

It's hard to convince our subconscious mind that we are slim while everyday we look at the mirror and what we find actually is that we are not slim. When we use the word, "I am getting" we will plant the thoughts of becoming and there's higher chances for the subconscious mind to accept because it's not completely false statement like "I am slim."

It's the same concept for wealth, health and others. You can still use, "I am.." but some people just cannot generate positive feeling using "I am..". Only when they use "I am getting..." they will believe their goals are manifesting and that will generate positive energy; which is necessary for the affirmations to work.

:)

That's really cool, I'm going to have to try that too. I can't seem to help overeating also so this is something that I definitely will use. Visualizations and affirmations are so fascinating. Wow!

This is good^^

I agree, it is easier to believe that "I am getting" and this is what I will use everyday until I believe "I am " :)
Like you said...If you see yourself in the mirror and the body shape dosent look like what you are thinking on
It is REALLY hard(for me too) to stay possitive and believe what I say to myself cuz I am not like that in the mirror

so thanks for this!

I did the "I look good at 180 pounds" approach, even though I was 193...

Well, steps I took were to remove cheese from my diet, lower my fat content in my milk from 2% or 0, as well as eating smaller meals, eating more meals throughout the day, and eating real foods, etc.

I did not really increase my exercise, in fact, it's remained where it was, if not, less.  Anyways, I've gone as low as 177 and fluctuate between 178 - 181.  Before, I'd fluctuate 190-195!

I still allow cookies to be eaten but in my mind, they don't add to my weight.

Here's an EFT script to help those who said they had a problem with overeating, good luck!

ISSUE:  Getting Healthy Naturally

Say Setup Phrase while tapping on karate chop point:

Setup Phrases:

Even though I don't always eat as well as I'd like to, I deeply and completely accept myself.

Even though I don't get as much physical activity as I need for my optimal health, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.

Even though I don't live the healthy lifestyle I'd like to for my optimal well-being, I am open to finding a way to do this naturally, and I deeply and completely love and accept myself.

Negative Reminder Phrases:

Eyebrow:    I eat too much junk food
Side of Eye:    I eat things that aren't good for me
Under Eye:   I eat portions that are too large
Under Nose:   I don't like exercising regularly
Chin:       I don't want to exercise, and I just don't have the time
Collarbone:    I'm just not living the healthy lifestyle I'd like to live
Under Arm:    I'd rather eat high-calorie food, and lots of it
Top of Head: It's too much of an effort to eat healthy and exercise regularly

Take a deep breath and let it out

Positive Phrases

Eyebrow:   Maybe my body really craves healthy food and exercise
Side of Eye:   I just haven't been listening to it
Under Eye:   I'm opening up to finding a physical activity that suits me
Under Nose:   Opening up to craving good, healthy foods naturally
Chin:      I can do this
Collarbone:   My body WANTS to be in a balanced, healthy state
Under Arm:   And get down to as well as maintain my ideal weight
Top of Head:    I can do this very naturally

Take a deep breath and let it out

Focusing on losing may not be the best way to approach the issue (in terms of law of attraction/thought)...

But focusing on strengthening the metabolism, building muscle, being energetic (so you workout) are all great approaches.

And remember, as all the famous teachers say, the universe likes action! So yes, eat healthy, exercise, sleep, ect...

For me, I never intentionally tried LOA for weight, though I had tried everything to lose couple pounds. Not that I needed to so much, I had always been right in the middle, I either look okay, or curvy when I lose track of what I eat...but I was set for years on the idea that my perfect weight would be about 15pounds under my actual.

I ate right and exarcised more than anyone I know...it wasn't working, I think I was too obsessed on losing...anyway there was a period when I had to move back with my parents for couple months(I am a student...but still, I like my independance) and do job I resented. So, I stopped caring what I eat. I started drinking 3 coffees a day, may be more, which wouldn't be as bad if I didn't put 2 sugars in each. I started eating chips and pastries and whatever came to my mind each day.
I didn't care what I ate, and I was so unhappy where I was I started losing weight. Then I got the idea that no matter what I eat I keep losing- and surprise, I really kept losing.
For months I ate junk food and whatever else I wanted, and I didn't exercise as much- I did yoga, but no more than once weekly.
I lost weight until almost my gold weight and kept it like that...

And lately I've gained again, so I am trying to figure out how to get into this state of mind.
What I mean to say is, my experience shows that sometimes it matters more how you see things, not what you eat or how much you exercise- it's good of course any of those things, but the most important is the state of mind.

And for those of you who(the way I was) can't imagine themselves slimmer because they have always been this weight, and believe that once they are slimmer they will imidiately feel incredible,,,,not true.
Not for me anyhow. I think the body and the mind they make habits, they get used to certain things, I had very hard time accepting I was the person in the mirror, that became so slim so fast. Also, I didn't have too much money for new clothes, and none of my old jeans fit, so it was hard...but eventually when everyone tells you you look great you start feeling great too.

And now, a year later, I'm back at square one- I have about 15 pounds I have to get rid of, so I'm trying to regain my previous attitude

Good idea! Keep telling yourself good things. I have had similar situation though not concerning weight. But I was working at a place where a guy that had girlfriend started flirting with me, and so suddenly the girl talked everyone against me. It seemed like hell the first day, but I knew I had to recharge and change my perspective. You have to keep your eyes on the prize, so to speak.
What they say, whether it's something obvious that you tell yourself is true or is completely irrelevant, it's still just to pick on you. Feeling bad over that, just makes you feel bad, and stops you from working towards what you want, let's say better figure in the case. Just remember that no matter what they say, if you don't take their words in it doesn't matter.
If they say something that you don't like about the way you look, and you are aiming at losing weight for example, remind yourself that if you chose you can get in better shape with time, or that you are in better shape already., whichever works for you. And if you are trying going to fitness or something, then remind yourself you are doing that, that you are doing something good for yourself, be proud of yourself(even if you don't feel like you have for what, do so, eventually you will have for what), smile no matter what they say. What they say works only if you care, don't let it touch you. Think of yourself as healthy and don't listen to other people.

I think you attracted me into your life. If you're reading this and you're struggling with your weight, here is what is working really well for me: Weight Watchers' new Points Plus program. I've lost over 25 pounds on it so far after everything else failed... so maybe this is the answer you have prayed for or asked the universe for.

Believe me, if it worked for me, it can work for you... I just want to help and share something that really works and is sustainable.....

whatever you choose to do, I wish you the best of luck

I just read your article and thought it was fantastic and very insightful, I especially loved when we say we are fat.."Your subconscious mind hears that and believes it.  And it does as its told .It is your subconscious that controls your actions.  If you tell it you are fat it will make you do all the actions to reinforce that because that’s what it thinks you want..You will eat"
That makes so much sense to me so thank you very much! xx

YES!  This is almost exactly what I tell myself too! ;)  I also used a dry erase marker and wrote 119 on the display screen of my digitial scale!  Standing on the scale and looking down at that number gets me very excited, I visual how that feels, what I will be wearing, what I will be doing, etc.  Definitely puts a smile on my face!  I have also realized that I have to ACT the way I will act at my ideal weight.  Meaning, I make the effort to "do" my hair, wear nice jewelry, not wear worn-out clothes, etc.  Something I will be doing today is making room in my closet for all the "skinny minny" clothes I need to buy!  :D

Title: Re: Law of Attraction for Weight Loss
Post by: ToBeMyHappiest on January 06, 2013, 11:57:08 PM
I have tried in the past, but haven't put consistent effort into it.  However, there was a period when I was listening to self-hypnosis tracks (now I just do it by myself) and the suggestion to "eat half only" started working for me immediately.

So, I know it can work, it's just a matter of making time to do it consistently.

I typically do hypnosis in bed before I go to sleep, but I think I need to change this because I normally fall asleep after I've gotten myself completely relaxed.   ::)

This is the one topic I have trouble believing the secret can do anything about. However, I was thinking something last night.

I was noticing that sometimes on tv you will have a show and then that show will take a semi long break and then one or two of the actors look completely different upon returning.  Sometimes they can be fatter but it isn't necessarily that. Sometimes their entire look can change dramatically in a year or two.

In real life I haven't noticed this that much.

I was wondering if the secret plays a role in the massive changes to someone's body in the entertainment industry.

So say they leave a show where they are playing a young girl and go on to play a hard boiled detective -- they manifest a different look in hairstyle and outfit but also their head. And then it is hard to go back to playing that young girl.

Keep it up but for a lot of people, after weight loss, they soon pack it all on again. The reason is this people.

It doesn't matter what therapy you use, if its laws of attraction, going to the gym every day, some amazing diet. Once you lost the desired weight.

You stop and go back to your old habits. You have got to still keeping used of laws of attraction, going to the gym every day, some amazing diet. It is not just a once-off. It is for life.

Happy Holidays.

To some extent loa might be a factor, since when you are acting, you become the character you are trying to portray. Some actors become that character so fully that they even identify with them during the time that they are making the movie, or acting in the play, or whatever. And considering what you see/believe is what manifests, it makes sense that their physical appearence might naturally start to take on the look of that other character.

But on the subject or weight loss in general, I think it's like anything else with loa: if you focus on being a particular weight, day in, day out, then circumstances will be created that eventually get you to that weight (for example, your lifestyle may change in a way that causes you to lose weight). Conversely, if a person often complains that they are fat/focuses on being fat, then circumstances will be created to produce that exact outcome.
