I would definately suggest anyone just starting out should read "Ask and It Is Given" by Esther and Jerry Hicks. Also, Bob Doyles new book called "Follow Your Passion - Find Your Power" is a significantly complete overview of manifesting. Best of luck to you...

Books I would recommend as you are still learning about he law of attraction are The Sercet or The Power.  Both books are by Rhonda Byrne.  The Key to living the law of attraction by Jack Canfield.
Living the law of attraction by Rich German is a book of real life stories from peaple who have used the law of attraction.
I have personally written an ebook called Getting Started with The Law of Attraction which I designed to help people who are new to learning about the law of attraction.  In my book I teach you (using powerful exercises) how to begin (and carry on) using the three step law of attraction process to start creating the life you really want.  You can fin out more at http://www.lulu.com/product/ebook/getting-started-with-the-law-of-attraction/14730215?productTrackingContext=search_results/search_shelf/center/1

I have to do a little self promotion here LOL

You should of course check out my book "Live like a Millionaire: How to Use the Law of Abundance to Live a Life of Passion and Unlimited Wealth." and it's Free  :D you can get it by visiting http://thelawofattractioncode.com

Other than that I recommend you check out the "Science of getting rich" which is the grand daddy of abundance literature

I'm not trying to say one IS better than the other but this foundations is solid and gives you a good start to MASTERING the laws and MANIFESTING the life you desire.

#1 - Silva Mind Control - This teaches you how to use your mind to reprogram & protect your thoughts so as to fully control
every aspect of your life.

#2 - The Seven Laws Of Attraction - You can find these written about online for FREE. This will give you a good understanding on how the laws work in unison to bring about manifestation.

#3 - What The BLEEP Do We Know - This movie is much deeper at explaining LOA then The Secret and a better movie (imho) as to start with. The mental shift after watching the movie is pretty noticeable.

These three WILL have you understanding from a deep level alot about LOA.

Cheers!

I have read The Secret book a number of times now and although I think it is a very good starting point for the Law of Attraction, I would have to emphasis starting point.

In my opinion, although the book is good, it tends to generalize things a great deal - just think positive thoughts of what you want and youŽll get it.

Well there is a little bit more to it than that! I think The Secret has got a lot of people interested in the Law of Attraction but I also think it has made nearly as many disillusioned and turned off towards it too.

Any books by Esther and Jerry Hicks I have found to be good as they really go into detail and give some very good tips and techniques throughout the chapters.

I would recommend in particular:
Ask and it is Given
The Law of Attraction - how to make it work for you
and
The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent - living the art of allowing.

By all means start with The Secret to learn all about the possibilities of the Law of Attraction, but then go much deeper with Ester and Jerry Hicks.

Hey Fluffycat there are a lot of excellent suggestions already in this thread. I do recomend reading back through and getting hold of any of these suggestions.

I also agree with Ask and It is Given as a starting point. :)

Definitely agree with Ask And It Is Given, and also Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don't by Michael Losier. Like with most of the suggestions already given - there is a free PDF online that was posted on another thread here somewhere.

Hey,

I recommend "The Secret of Deliberate Creation".

Here is a review:

Other than that, if you really want to get into it, I recommend Think And Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.
