Hi

So for the last 3 months I got it into my head that I have a sensitive mole and began running the worry thread in my head of "what if cancer?" I keep talking myself out of it and firmly enforce my mind to STOP and refocus on it being fine and other positive mental images.

But the mole hurts on and off and I do notice it bothering me more than it used to. But if I start thinking about maybe should I have it checked out, I stop myself again and tell myself to STOP that because my own worry could cause it to be something!

But more and more often I keep seeing signs on tv or radio or books, etc, everywhere I see info about skin cancer, moles, etc. Now, are those signs telling me to go deal with this and have it checked out? Or is this a mental mind game I am causing myself from my worry? Are these signs just signs because of my own worry? Or are they true alarm bells?

You see I have a bit of a personal conclusion on cancer...I think if you go looking for trouble you will find it. And that half the people who have never been checked for some cancer, may have had it growing and because their mind never entertained or DREW IN the thought, then nothing came of it and it died off or did not progress. To me, that makes sense. I mean, if you find an obvious lump or see a mole that looks not right (mine is just itchy and sore and sensitive but looks totally normal) then I think, as with toothache or a brokem arm, you go attend to the obvious. But I think if more people did not go digging to see what cancer could be lurking, far more would surive and never have any cancer that would have been "found" ever progress...does that make sense? I told this theory to some former friends who thought I was a nutjob. :(

My doctor is very pushy for me to have a mammogram and other over 40 check ups for cancer stuff and I say um, no thanks.

But now I just wonder...are the signs I am seeing telling me something else? Or are they just reminding me that I am worrying too much?

I understand where you are coming from.  The "signs" could be b/c you are obsessively worrying about it.   It happens to me from time to time.  As for avoiding doing what the doctor suggests, I wouldn't recommend that.  We all get nervous when it comes to these kinds of things.

I have a story.  My fiancee's mom got bone marrow cancer.  There is no cure but she is doing very well.  When she first was diagnosed she and I started chatting about LOA.  She believes strongly in the law.  She said she can remember the day she watched some show about cancer and how 1/10 people we know get cancer.  She was never really worried but obsessed about it.  She was curious to know WHO of she knows will get cancer.  This was ten years ago.  She takes full responsibility for attracting the cancer.  However, b/c she knows she attracted it, she knew she could heal from it.  She is in remission and doing well.  The doctors have never seen anyone recover as quickly as she has.

I have two points here.  1.  It took YEARS to manifest (not months) 2.  Even if you do have it, you know you attracted, therefore you have the ability to heal yourself.

However if you wait to find out it will make the process more difficult.

Does any of this make sense?

Hi

Thanks. :) Yes that makes sense...but if I just do nothing and continue to squash the intruding worry thoughts, would that not make whatever could be there, vanish anyway? :)

I guess it just dawned on me that whoa, what if the signs I keep seeing are actually a warning? I am so used to seeing signs, really strong signs, constantly that to see a sign of the exact thing I have been worrying so much about, sort of makes me question it all...

I am going to try and forget this worry and focus forward and positive but every time the mole itches or hurts, I get the worry back. I can't seem to stop myself from going there. I can correct myself but it instantly goes there. :(

When it comes to our health we need to incorporate Western medicine when consciously manifesting.  Unless you are a monk or a god, you should pay heed to your body.  Get your mole checked and do the mammogram.

Hi,  I believe in warnings and I also agree with you about creating illness by dwelling on it.   So as usual you have to decide what feels right for you.   I have had several prescriptions and diagnosis handed to me that were not looking good and I refused to accept them.   However I did get the initial traditional diagnosis.  I just did not get into their fear messages.  I would be dead probably if I had.  I did use the information to get well on my own.   I am lucky as where I live I have access to some wonderful alternative medical practitioners.   Some MD's who seldom write an Rx.   They try to use natural healing first.   I have a friend who was diagnosed with lymphoma 20 years ago and has always refused chemo.... She is a very healthy senior now who is slim  and pretty awesome for her age- and teaching yoga.   So, it is good to know some medical diagnosis at times in case if you need to use your positive energy and critical thinking to solve a health issue.

Thanks, I do appreciate the insights. :)

I guess I am just not totally trusting of the medical world...I truly think they can find and label all sorts of stuff when they look deep enough...and something they say is a tumor growing maybe would never have amounted to anything if never thought about or looked into...if I had a lump or something obvious, i would go in and have it looked at for sure. But the hidden dangers are under the category let sleeping dogs lie, until i gain a better trust in the medical world. I hope one day I can find a doc who is willing to explore holistic healing first. :)

Much of western medicine is useless for many issues we face but many practitioners are too vain to admit that.   I know dentists who still insist that amalgam (mercury) fillings are safe because the ADA tells them it is so... I could go on and on...  I hate to even discuss the topic too much as I agree that we atract illness as well as good health.   And the FDA combined with drug companies give many doctors the information from the drug company research as the boittom line...  IMHO, get the mole checked.  If it is a result you do not like, well you can do research and decide what to do next.

Thanks so much. :)

On Oprah yesterday she had stories reflecting how much we need to embrace life, be happy and grateful every day. It really helped me start to shake this worry and push through this. And I feel the story about the mother dying of cancer was not another sign of pending doom for me...but rather that extra push I needed to tap into how positive and happy I need to stay each and every day since we never know when they will end. :)

Dear gogetter,i think signs are just alarms that try to tell us:if we continue our way of thinking,we will attract that special event, and it is because when you think about something,LOA,will show you the signs that is align with your thoughts, and i don't think the signs want to tell us that everything we see,we will absolutely have in our life,or it is our future, the signs like our dreams just come from our thoughts and when we focus on another thing,we will see that special thing,we think about, right?

There is a difference between "ignoring" something that could be life threatening and consciously changing our thought process in "hopes" that it is nothing.  In my opinion, get all the information to make an informed decision.  Like Vicki Christina said, you don't have to take any medication or do any procedure if you choose not to.

Gogetter, I agree with everyone's advise here. Go and have it checked, and whatever findings you will have, you can then focus on truly believing of a perfect health - in body and mind.

I just believe if you go looking for trouble you just may find it. yes if i have it checked, maybe they find something. And if they do, what if it would never have amounted to anything had i NOT checked? see, from checking it out (without any obvious reason to...not saying ignore obvious things like lumps etc) i think it can actually create something bad that if unchecked would have gone away or amounted to nothing on it's own. :)
I have decided to keep an eye on my worries but trying not to focus on them. if i see some obvious issue i will go have it checked, but not on worry and overthinking it alone. :)

Just want to ask something similar to this post (I decided to put this on this thread since there's no section here for health).Anyway, the only known natural remedy to restore a stroke patient's movement is physical & occupational therapy.I've already watched The Secret a lot of times & I noticed that the people who gave testimonies there didn't take any medications & they were cured.Just curious. Can LOA replace the therapy?Or maybe just used to compliment the therapy.Any thoughts?thanks!

It wasnt just me that he disappeared from. Was also the places he'd been forum admin and been frequented for years. Even others he knew before me online have not seen or heard from him and a loner/introvert he didnt have many rl friends other than fam and men he worked with in a factory setting.  Not even ever a serious rl relationship and only had a handful of ppl online he could trust.
