To set a date or not set a date: that is the QUESTION

I know that with the Law of Attraction, sometimes people set dates for things BUT the question is......

"should we set dates?"

i realize that someone on the forum pointed out that when we set dates we get anxious considering the fact that the date is approaching but at the same time, we also attract negative things the closer we get to the date which can draw negative energy.

looking to here some of your thoughts....

I think setting dates could be both a good and a bad thing. It all depends on the individual.

The reason it could be bad is that by setting a date, you not only could get anxious..hence negative thoughts...but also if the date comes and goes and for whatever reason you don't get what you asked for, from then onwards, you will almost always have doubts about whatever you set a goal for. Basically you will say well it didn't happen then, so it might not happen now. So a lot of negativity.

On the other side, one could argue that if you don't set a date, then you are not so bothered about it and you might get it sooner or much much later.

So it depends on how you will deal with it. I believe as physical beings we have a sense of start and finish and a timetable. Whereas the universe might not operate that way.

One thing is for sure though, if you focus on it properly, match your vibration to it, its is yours and will come to you straight away.

If you set a date, you need to have absolute, unwavering FAITH. No doubts whatsoever, never.

It could be a bit tricky. Instead of setting a date, you could say : The Universe is answering all my desires, at the perfect place and at the perfect time. This permits detachment from the outcome.

What I'm currently doing is just that ; I was tempted to set a date, visualizing my man coming up to me and telling me he is willing to give it another go, but this has brought me fears and doubts that it won't happen... So you have to be careful about this. Let go, and let God.

I think setting a date is not good,cause most of the time because of our negativity and limiting beliefs we can't get what we want on that special date and when we can't get what we want we start to have doubts and fears about  our desires and LOA!for me setting a date,never ever helped me,cause i didn't get what i wanted on that special date,i tried it a lot but nothing happened!!so i decided to not set a date for my goal,but some ppl say when they set a date,they get what they want....but i think it depends on our vibration,when we send positive vibration to universe,what we want comes as soon as possible!

I agree with Persian Kitty, it depends on the individual. If one will set a date and if there is no manifestation right on time and still have positive thoughts that one will get the desires of his/her heart, there is no problem with that. I personally didn't have a timeline as well when I ask, will try having a timeline and see how it will go for me
